In 2020 we did an 8 week series titled Stranger Things: Life in the Upside Down Ways of Jesus that was focused on the beatitudes and how in the kingdom of God what seems upside down is really right side up. 6 years have passed and now we revisit the theme and invite you to join us as we begin a new 5 week series titled Stranger Things 2. Each week we will look at a different “chapter” that will delve into some of the stranger things found in the Bible and how often God uses bizarre and unexpected ways to work in the lives of people. If you are familiar with the wildly popular Netflix series, this message series will touch on some very familiar elements. Grab you Eggo waffles and join us on Sunday May 24th- Sunday June 21st at 10:30 am in person or online.

This week as we celebrate Resurrection Sunday at 7 am on April 5th instead of our normal time of 10:30 am the theme for week’s message is “I Deserve Death, But He Gave Me Life”. Pleasant Grove mourns alongside so many others in the community the tragic passing of Owen Bailey. We pray for his family, his church family, classmates, teachers and friends. We pray for those who responded to the accident last night as well. We entrust this situation to God because we hold firm to the knowledge that He is close to the brokenhearted and those who are crushed in spirit. The loss of a young life is devastating on so many levels. May the supernatural comfort of Almighty God embrace all who need Him.
