Kids ask a million questions, need our attention at inconvenient times, and somehow always have one more thing to tell us. They can interrupt our plans, our conversations, our work… even our worship.
But sometimes, those inconvenient interruptions and endless questions are the moments that matter most.
When this child watched the worship & instruments in awe and asked if he could see them up close, our worship leader’s response was simple:
“I have the time. This is what matters.”
And he did just that. He patiently showed him each instrument, answered his questions, and made him feel like he belonged there.
What a reminder of the way Jesus welcomed little children. He said in Matthew 19:14, “Let the little children come to me.” And He did.
And what a beautiful picture of the church we strive to be—a place where kids aren’t in the way, they’re part of the way. A place where we make room for little hearts to know Jesus, ask questions, worship, and belong.
Because this matters. 🤍
