Well… apparently a little mischief was in the air at church this morning. 😂

The Wi-Fi didn’t want to Wi-Fi. The cameras had minds of their own. The slides weren’t exactly sliding. And at one point, Billy Graham started speaking an entirely different language. 😳

Technology may have gotten the best of us for a few minutes, but we didn’t want you to miss Billy!

Once again, we’ve been given the strength to make it through another week.

Maybe it wasn’t an easy one. Maybe you barely made it through. Maybe it was a good week and you simply forgot to stop long enough to be thankful for it. But here we are. Sunday morning. Another day we’ve been given.

This morning, think about proximity. We can believe in God. We can pray when we need Him. We can know the stories and a few verses by heart. But how close are we actually allowing ourselves to get to Him?

Maybe today is the day you get a little closer.

Say the prayer. Open the Bible. Watch a church service online. Or walk through the doors of a church, even if you haven’t done it in years. Sit in the back if that feels more comfortable. You don’t need the right clothes, the right words, or everything figured out.

Just take one step closer today.

You made it through another week. Maybe this Sunday morning is a good time to stop, look up, and remember Who walked through it with you. ❤️

Community looks a lot like people caring for one another. ❤️

A week or two ago, members of the local AA group that meets here at First Baptist Church Fort Thomas took time to repair a damaged section of brick on our building.

We want to say thank you. Thank you for seeing something that needed attention and stepping in to help. Thank you for caring for this building. And most of all, thank you for being part of our community.

We are grateful that our building can be a place where people gather, support one another, and find encouragement. Please know that we pray for your continued strength, one day at a time. ❤️

And if someone reading this is struggling with alcohol and looking for support, help may be closer than you think. Alcoholics Anonymous can help you find a meeting in your area:
