Dear Plymouth,
This month has held so much transition—comings and goings, endings and new beginnings, and all the in-between spaces we travel together. It has also been a tender invitation into summer’s embrace: long days, warm sun, fire pits, and, at least for me, the dusty trails that remind us we are always journeying.
One thread in my theology holds that even in the mystery of unknowing, there is sacred wisdom waiting to emerge. In every shift we experience as a community—in every hello, goodbye, and uncertain middle—there is something to learn about who we are and how we belong to one another.
This Sunday, we will say farewell to Brooklyn McBride, our Director of Christian Formation, as she sets out on a new path of discovery and growth. In worship, we’ll also lift up stories and moments from the recent Youth Pilgrimage to Gunnison and Moab—a journey shared with our friends at First Congregational Church of Greeley, grounded in the wilderness traditions of our faith. Come help us bless Brooklyn as she goes, and celebrate the sacred steps our youth have taken together.
After worship, we’ll continue the celebration with a community BBQ potluck. Bring your favorite picnic, grilled item, or salad to share. We’ll gather with gratitude, good food, and the deep joy of being together.
With care and hope,
Marta
