Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family,
Psalm 106:1-3 "Praise the Lord! Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever! 2 Who can utter the mighty deeds of the Lord, or declare all his praise? 3 Blessed are they who observe justice, who do righteousness at all times!"
Praise the Lord for a good Lord's Day. I pray your spirit was challenged and warmed.
Monday, I hosted the board of the Wisconsin Fellowship of Baptist Churches at the parsonage. We approved a constitutional amendment that will reinforce our fellowship's determination to pursue Baptist distinctives. We also approved speakers for the Pastors' and Wives' Fellowship and the Annual meeting in 2027.
Please pray for Pat H. She has two doctors' appointments today. Her heart rate has been managed by medications this week. Marie M went into the hospital yesterday severely dehydrated. Continue to pray for bones to heal for Jean J and Suzanne G. Patty A is scheduled to have back surgery this Friday. Bev G is receiving chemo. Pray that the swelling in her legs would go away.
Pray for visas for our missionaries: Sergio Zamora to NYC and the Hermans to Ireland.
Pray for safety and spiritual growth as I host a trip to Jordan and Israel beginning Saturday, June 6th and returning on Wednesday, June 17th.
This Sunday morning, June 7, is Lord's Table. Pastor Charlie is beginning a 4 week series from Deuteronomy. Pastor Shaeffer is continuing his series driven by the WFBC resolutions in adult Sunday School. The topic this week is "Commitment to the Local Church." Pastor Shaeffer will continue his series in Joshua on Sunday evening at 6:30 p.m. Pray for Jeremy and Charlie with the extra teaching load they will have this month in addition to their normal responsibilities.
A summer ladies' Bible study begins tomorrow, Thursday, June 4 at 9:00 a.m. They will meet at the parsonage/church.
We should be thankful for all things. In June, I revel in the sunshine, blooming flowers, and warmer temperatures. These physical, temporal things should not be taken for granted. God is giver of these things too. We pray for healing. We pray for comfort in loss. We pray for relationships. While embracing the truth of living in this broken world, let's not forget to thank God for that which is pleasant.
Embracing Truth. Equipping Saints.
