Serving downtown Fond du Lac since 1980!
Covenant United Methodist Church was formed in January 1980 by the joining of two existing Fond du Lac United Methodist congregations: the Division Street Methodist Church and St. Matthew’s Methodist Church. Led by Rev. David Warren and Rev. Verlyn Harr, the two congregations agreed to build a new facility to reach out to the downtown community. Proudly serving the downtown community of Fond du Lac for 176 years!
Records indicate the earliest Methodist worshipers in Fond du Lac date back to 1843, when seven families met in their log homes.
Fond du Lac’s first two Methodist churches were built in 1850 on Arndt Street and Marr Street.
