Welcome to our new priest!
Fr. Christopher Whatley comes to Holy Trinity with a passion for parish ministry, pastoral care, and Christian formation. He is joined by his wife, Presbytera Tia, and their five children: Aidan, Adelaide, Annabel, Amalie, and Ada Grace.
Fr. Christopher previously served at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church in Madison and currently serves as Regional Manager of Mission and Spiritual Care for Advocate Health, where he supports spiritual care and mission across the health system. Before entering parish ministry, he served for many years as a hospital chaplain.
He earned a B.A. in Religion from the University of Georgia, where he was a scholarship basketball player, and a Master of Theological Studies from Nashotah House Theological Seminary. He is currently completing a Master of Theology (Th.M.) at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology. He has also completed four units of Clinical Pastoral Education, is a Board Certified Chaplain (BCC), and has completed graduate studies in healthcare finance.
Outside of ministry, Fr. Christopher enjoys music production and recording. A guitarist and bassist, he enjoys working with local bands in his home studio as a creative hobby.
Fr. Christopher and Presbytera Tia are grateful for the opportunity to join the Holy Trinity family and look forward to growing together in Christ, serving the parish, and becoming part of the wider community.
