We remember those who gave all in the selfless service for our country, Memorial Day.🇺🇸
If every American that paid the ultimate sacrifice had a choice they would have rather returned home to their loved ones.🥰
And for every soldier awarded the highest honor 🏅short of the ultimate sacrifice-would tell you his actions was motivated by attempting to honoring the desire of all in the armed forces to return home.🛣️🏡
I want us to consider 1 Corinthian 13:11, “ When I was a child, I talked like a child, though like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me.”
This passage is part of Paul’s “Hymn of Love” in 1 Corinthians 13, emphasizes the preeminence of love and spiritual maturity.
Believers are encouraged to grow in love, wisdom, and understanding, moving beyond selfish or immature attitudes.
What does this have to do with Memorial Day? 🇺🇸 Glad you asked?
When a civilian enlist in the armed forces, the largest % is for selfish reasons. College money, benefits for their family, to get away from a lifestyle of detriment.🤔
They are like new born babies 👩🏽🍼to the life of military service.
The indoctrination phase of every military service is one of transformation.
The new recruit mindset is matured to stop thinking as an individual and develop an agape love for the man/woman standing next to them in formation.
To put aside childhood, (civilian) talk, thinking, and reasoning, and operate as a mature soldier, sailor, airman, marine, or guardian. (Space Force)
It would be impossible for our armed forces to be successful if each member was unable to have unconditional love for each other as Paul is written to the church of Corinthians and encouraged them to mature towards.
So on Monday while you are doing what has become customary in your celebration of Memorial Day, 🇺🇸 please remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice across the military spectrum with honor.
Because they loved enough to obey the orders that sent them into harms way, they loved the individuals to thier left and right enough to become brave even in the face of uncertainty and possible death.
They deserve our respect, and gratitude. We are the home of the free because of those who lived loved and served as prescribed in 1 Corinthian 13:4-8a🇺🇸🫡
Today, Monday, May 25, is **Memorial Day**.
It's a federal holiday dedicated to honoring and remembering the military personnel who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces.
"MEMORIAL DAY BLESSINGS TO ALL!"
God Is Able!
Have a safe blessed and prosperous day in Jesus Name, Amen 🙏 🙌 ❤️
