Rabbi Rayzel Raphael has a private practice in the Philadelphia area where she counsels couples and helps them prepare for life cycle ceremonies- weddings, funerals, B'nai Mitzvah, baby naming

s. Rabbi Rayzel has been the spiritual leader of four congregations, served as chaplain and worked for Hillel doing outreach to students. Ordained at the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College she studied Religion at Indiana and Brandeis Universities - and in Israel -at Pardes and at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Rabbi Rayzel is a visionary artist with soul. Calling herself an "unorthodox" rabbi, she teaches about " the Jewish Mysteries" - angels, dreams, kabbalah, and more. Her gift is bringing the esoteric to light as educational entertainment. Reb Rayzel originally hails from Tennessee and is an award winning songwriter/liturgist with five recordings to her credit. Friday Night Revived and her Bible Babe’s a Beltin’ CD have received international acclaim. Her most recent release is May the Angels Carry You, a companion to the book of the same title by her husband, Dr. Simcha Raphael: Jewish prayers for the Deathbed. She teaches about spirituality, dreams, kabbalah, angels and other Jewish mysteries in numerous locations in the Philadelphia area. Reb Rayzel also silks paints tallitot and huppahs. Today was a day to celebrate love! Congrats to Amber and Andrew who knew immediately they belonged together. It was a day when religious and racial divides did not matter one bit. It was a moment when Pastor Seth helped me fix the huppah after the wind blew away the bindings. The sky was blue, the rain held off and the blessings poured forth.Its not every day you get Motown and a hora at the same wedding!

South Africa in December 2026/January 2027

I have been working with a wonderful travel agent who has put together an amazing trip. We will spend a week in Cape Town area as the Pre-tour - including Shabbat with the community and time in a Nature Retreat. The main tour will journey along the coast- called the Garden Route -and will include a three-day SAFARI! A post trip option is available as well to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. It’s a little pricy *because it is peak tourist season- but the weather will be great! And the more people that sign up the cheaper it will be- so bring some friends!

On April 21, 2026 at Noon EDT, I’ll host a zoom with Sagy, my travel agent who has put the itinerary together.
