Elkins Park RP Church

Elkins Park RP Church We are located in Elkins Park, PA, a northern suburb of Philadelphia. We are a member of the Reforme It is through faith alone that we receive God's salvation.

We believe in God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried, and continued under the power of death; the third day he rose again from the dead, he ascended into heaven, and is seated on the right hand of God the Father Alm

ighty, from there he shall come to judge the living and the dead. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. "All Scripture is inspired by God," therefore the Bible is our only infallible standard for doctrine and life. Jesus Christ "is the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except through Him," "By grace you have been saved, through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast." "Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!" Only Jesus Christ, sent by God, is able to save. It is God who saves us; we cannot save ourselves by any work we can do. No one may boast before God; rather, all things are for His glory, not ours. The Bible is the final judge of faith and life. We read and hear what He has said to us, so as to be taught and encouraged, we sing the lyrics He has given us, to both express and mold our hearts, we pray to Him to request His help in need, we observe baptism and communion to signify and renew His promises to us. As part of the Reformed Presbyterian Church of North America, we subscribe to the Westminster Confession of Faith and gladly teach Reformed (Biblical) theology.

But he was pierced for our transgressions;
he was crushed for our iniquities;
upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace,
and with his wounds we are healed.

How beautiful upon the mountains
are the feet of him who brings good news,
who publishes peace,
who brings good news of happiness,
who publishes salvation,
who says to Zion, “Your God reigns.”

Join us Sunday at 11.
