Each Sunday, the Daughters of Charity from Hotel Dieu Hospital, accompanied by two laywomen, traveled from El Paso to Smith’s Dairy in the Mission Valley to provide religious instruction to the children of dairy workers.

Today, we celebrate the Feast of St. Faustina Kowalska, the humble Apostle of Divine Mercy, who reminded the world of one of the greatest truths of our faith: God’s mercy is greater than our sins, our struggles, and our fears. ❤️

Through St. Faustina, Jesus gave us the beautiful message of Divine Mercy and the simple prayer that we can carry in our hearts each and every day: ❤️ Jesus, I trust in You. ❤️

May we never be afraid to run to His mercy, no matter how far we may feel we have wandered. And may we also become instruments of that same mercy...loving, forgiving, and showing compassion to one another.

🕊Feast of St. Francis of Assisi 🕊

Today we celebrate St. Francis of Assisi, whose life of simplicity, humility, and love for God continues to inspire us.

Let this Feast Day remind us to recognize God's goodness throughout creation, to care for those in need, and to seek peace in our everyday lives.

St. Francis had a profound love for all of God's Creations. Tradition tells us that he even preached to the birds, inviting them to praise their Creator, and stories of his life describe his remarkable gentleness toward animals.

May his example encourage us to live with greater gratitude, generosity, and love for all God has made.

Today, we give thanks to the Lord for the incredible custodians who faithfully care for our churches, diocesan offices, schools, and facilities each and every day. 🙏🏼

So much of what you do happens quietly behind the scenes, but your hard work, dedication, and servant hearts do not go unnoticed. You help create clean, safe, and welcoming spaces where our children can learn, our communities can gather, and our Church can continue its mission.
