💧 “There Is a Well That Holds More Than Water”

Sometimes, we come to God carrying an emptiness that nothing in this world can satisfy. We try to fill it with success, relationships, money, recognition, entertainment, and countless temporary things—but eventually, we realize that the soul is still thirsty.

At the well, Jesus showed that He was not merely offering ordinary water. He was offering something deeper: living water that reaches the soul.

The world may give us temporary relief, but only Christ can give us lasting hope. People may disappoint us. Circumstances may change. What we possess may disappear. But the grace, love, and presence of God remain.

Maybe today you feel like you are at the bottom of a well—tired, broken, forgotten, or wondering if your life still has purpose. Remember this: God sees you even in the deepest place. Your weakness does not make you invisible to Him.

The same Christ who met the woman at the well still meets people today in their thirst, their failures, their questions, and their pain.

You don't have to pretend that you have everything together. Come to Jesus as you are. Bring Him your heart, your burdens, your regrets, and your unanswered questions.

Because the answer to a thirsty soul is not found in having more of the world.

It is found in having more of Christ.

> “But whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst.” — John 4:14

Jesus is still the Living Water. Come to Him. Drink deeply. And let Him transform what the world could never satisfy. 🙏💧✝️

THIS WORLD IS FULL OF THIRSTY PEOPLE DRINKING FROM BROKEN WELLS.

They chase addictions that destroy them.
Relationships that disappoint them.
Money that never satisfies them.
Pleasure that leaves them empty.
Politics that keeps them angry and divided.

Yet they keep going back—hoping the next drink from the same broken well will finally satisfy.

IT NEVER WILL.

You were created with a thirst this world does not have the power to satisfy.

There is a power greater than addiction.
Greater than bo***ge.
Greater than your past.
Greater than your sin.
Greater than anything that has tried to destroy your life.

It is the LOVE OF GOD revealed through the death and resurrection of JESUS CHRIST.

The tragedy is that people will relentlessly pursue what is destroying them while ignoring the ONE who can give them what they have been searching for all along.

STOP DRINKING FROM BROKEN WELLS.

STOP CHASING WHAT CANNOT SATISFY.

GO AFTER JESUS WITH EVERYTHING YOU HAVE!

There is PEACE.
There is JOY.
There is FREEDOM.
There is ABUNDANT LIFE.

And His name is JESUS.

For twelve long years, a woman had suffered from constant bleeding. She had spent everything she had on doctors, yet instead of getting better, her condition only grew worse.

Then she heard that Jesus was passing by.

She pushed through the crowd, believing that if she could only touch the edge of His garment, she would be healed. Finally, she reached out and touched His clothes.

Immediately, the bleeding stopped.

Jesus knew that power had gone out from Him, so He turned and asked, “Who touched my clothes?” Trembling with fear, the woman came forward and told Him everything.

Jesus looked at her and said, “Daughter, your faith has made you whole. Go in peace.”

After twelve years of suffering, one touch of faith changed everything.

The Bridegroom at the Well

Throughout Scripture, wells became places of divine encounters between brides and bridegrooms.

Rebekah was found at a well and became Isaac’s bride (Genesis 24).
Jacob met Rachel at a well (Genesis 29).
Moses met Zipporah at a well (Exodus 2).

Then we come to John 4.

Another woman. Another well. But this time, the Man waiting there is Jesus—the Bridegroom.

Just verses earlier John declared, “The bride belongs to the bridegroom.” (John 3:29)

And the woman is a Samaritan—from a people with Israelite roots, yet separated from the Jewish community. Could this familiar well-and-bride pattern be a prophetic glimpse of something greater? Jesus came to gather a Bride from beyond every ethnic, religious, and social boundary.

She came thirsty for ordinary water.

The Bridegroom offered her Living Water.

She came carrying a jar.
She left carrying a testimony.

It wasn’t the water He came for.
It was her.
