Day 5 - so much fun!!! Mr. Caleb, Pastor Ethan, and Ms. Anna ALL got a pie in the face because the kids brought in OVER $2000 for Operation Kid-to-Kid - WOW God! And guess who delivered and executed the pies??? THE GORILLA!!!

It's been a wonderful week... the kids were great, and a HUGE thank you to all the awesome volunteers. It was really neat seeing how intergenerational VBS is - 5th grade and under participating, nursery kiddos, middle/high school volunteers, college student volunteers, young and old moms and dads, grandparents, retired teachers, and so many more. A sincere thank you to all the volunteers who made an impact this week. We can't wait to do it again next year!

Day 4 finally had clear skies! Mr. Caleb was told there was a gorilla sighting up on the roof of the church, so he went to check, but didn't find him again. Throughout today's activities, we learned about God's love and how Jesus died on the cross for us. The songs were a little slower, and the kids put their hearts and souls into the singing - WOW God!

On the missional end of VBS, kids have been bringing in money to help Operation Kid-to-Kid provide fruit trees for families in Central America. The kids were challenged to see if they could bring in $1,000; if they did, Mr. Caleb would get a banana cream pie in the face. Well, today, they met their goal!!! So now, he upped the game to include Pastor Ethan getting a pie in the face if we raise $1,500. All are welcome to come witness this tomorrow during closing.

Peace VBS also had a second mission led by our own Anne Hartman for Lutheran Women in Mission's Orphan Grain Train. She presented to the kids on Monday and asked the kids to consider bringing in hygiene items for orphans. Our collection table is OVERFLOWING!!!! WOW God!!!

More rain at Rainforest Falls VBS again today on Day 3. The last few days, the kids have been "seeing" gorilla sightings - well, today, we caught the gorilla on camera - he is really here at VBS (he seems quite friendly!! Along with the gorilla sightings, there have been many God sightings as the kids learned about David today, and that God is our safe place - WOW God!

Rainforest Falls VBS brought us rain today on Day 2 - that didn't stop the learning and fun, though! Today, the kiddos learned that God knows everything... WOW God!

Rainforest Falls VBS at Peace got off to a great start today! Over 160 kiddos from 3 years old through 5th grade - WOW God! Plus, an amazing number of volunteers - WOW God! Day 1 was learning about God's great creation. We can't wait for the rest of the week.
