Fall River Vocations Office Building a culture of vocations and helping people hear and answer God’s call.

The Diocesan Vocations Office exists to help men discern whether or not the Lord is calling them to the Priesthood. We also provide resources for parishes, schools and parents to assist them in promoting vocations.

Join us in praying for Deacon Kaique Duarte Santos, who will be ordained to the Priesthood on Saturday! 🙏

Originally from Brazil, Deacon Kaique experienced tragic loss in his family during his teenage years, which led to spiritual questioning. After a personal encounter with Christ and a series of transformative retreats, he felt called to the priesthood and officially was welcomed into the Fall River Diocese in 2023.

May God continue to bless him in his vocation of service to the Church and our diocese!

It's Ordination Week! 🙏🎉

This Saturday, Deacon Kaique Duarte Santos is being ordained to the Priesthood, and Mr. Lucas da Costa is being ordained to the Transitional Diaconate. All are welcome to this beautiful liturgy!

When: Saturday, June 6th | 11AM
Where: Cathedral of St. Mary of the Assumption

Young men discerning the priesthood are also invited to a discernment breakfast preceding the Ordination Mass. The breakfast will be at Denny’s in Fall River at 9 AM. Young men under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent. Registration is required.

Today is World Day of Prayer for Vocations! 🙏

O Jesus, truly present in the Blessed Sacrament, draw all people to Yourself, especially those You are calling to the priesthood and consecrated life.

Give Your Church, we pray, fervent priests to serve at your altar, and holy men and women, who will devote their lives to prayer and service as consecrated brothers and sisters.

May the Heart of Jesus, in the Most Blessed Sacrament, be praised, adored, and loved, with grateful affection, at every moment, in all the tabernacles of the world, even until the end of time. Amen.

World Day of Prayer for Vocations is this Sunday, April 26th! 🙏

God our Father, we thank You for calling men and women to serve in Your Son’s Kingdom as priests, deacons, and consecrated persons.

Send Your Holy Spirit to help others to respond generously and courageously to your call.

May our community of faith support vocations of sacrificial love in our youth and young adults.

Through our Lord Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with You in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen

Prayer is a conversation with God–not just saying prayers, but speaking to the Lord from your heart. Ask Him to reveal His plan for you: “Jesus, I want to want what you want. Here I am, Lord; I come to do Your will.”
