First Congregational Church of Fall River

First Congregational Church of Fall River Join us for worship at 10:00 AM every Sunday in person or online at www.fccfallriver.com or Facebook live. We worship in the traditional style of the Pilgrims.

At 10 AM every Sunday we will sing, pray and hear the world of God preached. We celebrate communion at the Lord's table on the first Sunday of every month. Our Sunday School, when in session, meets at 9:15 AM. Children are invited to stay for worship. See our newsletter and website as well as our events page for more information. Our Church Fellowship recognizes the right of its individual members

to follow the leadings of revelation, prayer, study, and meditation. We do not require our members to believe any specific dogma, as we prize freedom of conscience above conformity. Every sincere conviction that honors our Lord is honored among us. We believe in the freedom and responsibility of the individual soul and the right of private judgment. We are a covenantal church believing we are pilgrims called to journey with one another rather insist on the creeds of old. To each other the members of First Congregational Church of Fall River pledge:
"I believe in the Way and Spirit of Life, as revealed by the life and teachings of Jesus Christ, and I do solemnly vow the best efforts of my soul to walk this way of life in His spirit and to help others to do the same." Come be a part of the journey with us. FMI on the Pilgrims go to:

When people come by the office, they will often ask me “What’s up with the knight?“. So I thought I would drop a note. In 1940 just as the world was trying to destroy itself the great CS Lewis wrote a short essay on how we should contend with the world that is trying to destroy itself through both the most horrific of natural and technological means.

He suggested this answer:
the Way of the Knight Lancelot.

In the link is his one page essay making this case, and I still find it one of the most convicting things I’ve ever read.

First Congregational Church has a long and vital history in the Fall River community.  Generations of our neighbors have known this as their church home.  As part of the Congregational tradition, our roots go back to the earliest days of colonial New England, but we are a church looking toward the...
