The Order of Malta is a lay religious order of the Catholic faith. Founded 1,000 years ago, it is a military and hospitaller order and the oldest order of knighthood in the world. Knights and Dames of the Order of Malta dedicate themselves to serve the sick and the poor and, in so doing, defend the Faith. The Boston Area of the Order of Malta is part of the American Association. It comprises the s

tates of Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine. Its leadership board is chaired by Area Chair Thomas Egan Driscoll, its works are coordinated by Area Hospitaller Christopher Carter Lee, and grants are administered by Grants Co-Chairs Edward J. Over 250 Knights, Dames and Auxiliary commit themselves to live out their mission and provide their time and talents to a variety of charitable throughout the New England region comprising the Boston Area of the Order of Malta.
