A Church on Fire!

What if I told you that there is a gift in you that can set the church on fire?

In 2 Timothy 1:6, the apostle Paul wrote to Timothy and said, "For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God (inner fire), which is in you."

As a child of God, we process a fire producing gift that can set ourselves on fire. And we can even use this gift to set the world on fire.

Romans 12:6 -8 says, “We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.

These gifts are in us, and we have the responsibility of stir them up and set the Church on Fire!

“A Woman After God’s Own Heart”

A Woman After God’s Own Heart, has a deep reverence for God.
She Loves what God loves
She has a repentant heart.
She has a desire to seek God in all that she does.
She seeks forgiveness when she sins not pretending to be perfect.
She has servant attitude, for she loves and serves others.
She trusts God to provide for her all of her needs.
She trusts God to fight her battles, and not rely on her own strength.
She has a relationship with God thru prayer and meditating on His Word.

Proverbs 31:25-29 says, “She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: “Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.”

She is More than a Rib

Today, God wants us to understand that He created the woman to be more than just a rib. Genesis 2:7 let us know that God formed the man from the dust of the ground. The Hebrew word for “formed” is yatsar, which means, to form, mold or shape. However, when God created woman, He took a different approach. Genesis 2:22 says, “Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib He had taken out of the man, and He brought her to the man.” The Hebrew word for “made” here is banah, which means, to build something. God took the rib from man and supernaturally built it into the body of the woman. The man and all the other creatures were molded from the dust of the ground, but the woman was built by God.

When God built the woman, she was purposely fashioned to get Man’s attention. Therefore, when Adam saw Eve he said, “This is Now!” Meaning she was put together well. In other words, “She’s a brick house!!!” And Adam in excitement he said, “This is bone of my bones, and fresh of my flesh!

The woman was taken out of the man, which symbolizes the fact that she draws her life from the man. When God fashioned and completed her, she was returned to the man to give his life new meaning. The rib represents emotional stability, inward strength, and encouragement. God did not take a bone from Adam’s foot, because Eve was not to be his slave; nor did He take one from his head, because she was not to be ruler over him. God took the rib from man’s side because she is to stand beside him, work with him as equal before God, to love him, support him, work with him, counsel him, honoring him as her protector, provider, and intimate friend and lover.

As we celebrate Mother’s Day, ladies be encouraged because you are not just a rib, you are more than a rib. God made you to be special.

Be More Like Jesus

In our daily walk with the Lord we should strive to be more like Him.

1 John 2:6 says, “Whoever says he abides in Him ought to walk in the same way in which He walked.”

Ephesians 5:1-2 says, “Therefore, be imitators of God, as beloved children. And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.”

Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”

So, strive to be more like Jesus by following and imitating His life examples, loving Him, and loving others.

God’s Shaping You!

Have you ever asked yourselves, “Why am I going thru so many changes?” And to answer your question, could it be a strong possibility that God is shaping you.

Jeremiah 18:3- 4 says, “So, I went down to the potter’s house, and I saw him working at the wheel. But the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seemed best to Him.”

The Lord’ question to us is, “Can I not do with you as this potter?” “Can I not shape you as seems best to me?” In response to this question, we need to understand that we are clay in the Potter’s hand, and He has every right to shape us as He will. If our vessel is marred for one use, it’s His right to make it to serve another purpose.

Isaiah 64:8 says, “We are the clay and He is the Potter, and we are to be pliable in His hands.”

God wants to mold and shape us into something beautiful and useful for His Kingdom.

Be an Encourager

As the body of Christ, we have called to be encouragers for one another.

1 Thessalonians 5:11 says, “Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.”

Hebrews 10:25 says, “And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of His return is drawing near.”

So, be an encourager to someone who is discourage, sad, lonely, or just need to be lifted up.

Always Pray & Never Give up!

When life seem to get you down that’s when the devil wants you to give up, but as a child of God you should never give up. Instead of giving up you should pray and keep our eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith.

1 Peter 5:7-10 says, “Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you. Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings. And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will Himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.”

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path. He will never leave you or forsake you. So, Always Pray and Never Give Up!
