Seminarian for the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend, Mason Bailey, a Labouré alumnus, just recently made this beautiful announcement:
"I am pleased to announce that, after three years of making regular monthly payments on my behalf, The Labouré Society has officially paid off the remainder of my student loan debt. I am debt free! My day of full mitigation was September 15, 2026, the Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows. I find this day most fitting! While I was in the application process for seminary, the burden of my student loan debt was a source of anxiety and stress. When I began my pastoral year at St. Pius X in Granger, it was still unclear as to how this was to be resolved. Enter The Labouré Society! From stepping foot in the Twin Cities for training in January of 2023 until now, Labouré's love for the Church and prayers for my vocation have sustained me through every challenge and low point. I'm incredibly grateful to The Labouré Society for their help in this once seemingly insurmountable barrier. Free from this burden that affects so many pursuing diocesan and religious vocations, I am able to more fully bear witness to the joy of the Gospel of Christ!
As my ordination draws closer, I am deeply humbled by and grateful for the help each of you, my benefactors, has given me. It has positively affected my priestly formation. I am more comfortable asking for help when I need it. I am more confident in my vocation. I am more keenly aware of the many blessings God has bestowed upon me.
Thank you for your prayers as I continue to be formed into the priest God is calling me to be!"
Let’s end this year on a strong note.
