This sweet match has been paired for 5.5 years! Sherry said, "We wanted to support the Minnesota Frost in their playoffs." She shared that her mentee, Clara, "was very interested in learning about women's hockey and talked to the Frost fans sitting around us. She said it was fun to learn the supportive chants: 'Brrrr... it's cold in here! There must be some Frost in the atmosphere!'"

It's so great that through outings offered by Tickets for Kids young people are able to experience new things that connect them to their greater community and create a space for mentor matches to have fun and enjoy being together. Thank you, Tickets for Kids Charities and Minnesota Frost!

The Rev. Justin Grimm has been elected to a six-year term as bishop of the Saint Paul Area Synod! He currently serves as the synod's director for evangelical mission and assistant to the bishop for congregational vitality, a position he’s held since 2015. He previously served as lead pastor at Advent Lutheran Church in Lake Ann, Mich., after first serving as the mission developer. He is a graduate of Northwestern College, Iowa and Luther Seminary. He was ordained in 2005. Bishop-Elect Grimm will succeed The Rev. Patricia Lull, who is completing her second term as bishop. An installation service will be held Sept. 13.

INCLUDED
Bridget has always had a strong faith in Jesus, but it was private—something personal between her and God.

When she had children, she began to wonder how she would pass that faith on to them. She hoped they would learn to “walk as Jesus walked,” she says, “and include and be kind to people.” She wanted to find a place where her two daughters, ages 6 and 3, would feel welcomed and could learn the values she holds so dearly—a place where they would be seen and known, and where they would learn to love and serve others.

Bridget quickly discovered that All Saints welcomed and included her children as important members of the church. Each week, the worship service includes elements especially for kids, such as a children’s sermon and a children’s music time. There are also special service events where kids volunteer alongside adults, working together to make the world a better place.

Bridget’s daughters are learning the faith, just as she had hoped. The family prays together, and the girls talk about Jesus and what they’re learning at church. When tragedy struck last year and they lost Baby Annie at just 20 weeks of gestation, they had words to help them talk about their loss. The girls know that “Baby Annie is in heaven.” Their faith, nurtured by the All Saints community, is helping them process their grief.

When you are part of the All Saints community, you are making a real difference in people’s lives in ways you may never fully see. Thank you for the important role you play in making All Saints a welcoming, supportive, and inclusive community of faith—one that truly makes a difference in the lives of people of all ages.
