DEVO. 09.08.26

“Yes, a person is a fool to store up earthly wealth but not have a rich relationship with God.”” (Luke‬ ‭12‬:‭21‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

- Calling someone a fool is a pretty harsh statement, but Jesus does say it!
- So wouldn’t you like to know who Jesus calls a fool?
- He says that the person who is rich in this world and does not have a rich relationship with Jesus.
- So, how do you have a rich relationship with Jesus?
- The answer is pretty easy.
- The basic question is “how do you have a rich relationship?”
- First is your Time!
- You make time for those whom you want to make time for.
- If you don’t have time for someone then you won’t have any relationship.
- Next would be Care!
- You have to care about their concerns.
- If you don’t care about someone then there will be no relationship.
- Then there is Loyalty!
- Are you loyal to someone through the ups and downs, thick and thin?
- Will you be loyal when no one even understands?
- Now, use those 3 things, (Time, care and loyalty) in your relationship with Jesus.
- Do you spent Time in his Word, in prayer and in His presence?
- I’m not talking about 5 minutes in the morning but how about the rest of your day?
- Is He allowed to invade your schedule anywhere and at anytime?
- How about Care? Do you care about the things that He cares about? Do you love what He loves and Hate what He hates?
- Do you worship Him and are you committed to His ways?
- And are you Loyal to Him when the world hates Him and His commands?
- Do you obey Him?
- Jesus Himself said, “If you love me, obey my commandments.” (John‬ ‭14‬:‭15‬)
- If there are areas where you haven’t been obedient, don’t make excuses, just get right with Him.
- That’s what repentance is all about.
- Turn from your way of doing things and turn to Jesus!
- Jesus also said, “I tell you the truth, everyone who acknowledges me publicly here on earth, the Son of Man will also acknowledge in the presence of God’s angels.” (Luke‬ ‭12‬:‭8‬ ‭NLT‬‬)
- Don’t be a fool! Build a Rich relationship with Jesus today!
- You will never regret the time spent with Him!
- Have a great Tuesday!

DEVO. 09.05.26“Your road led through the sea, your pathway through the mighty waters— a pathway no one knew was there!”(...

DEVO. 09.05.26

“Your road led through the sea, your pathway through the mighty waters— a pathway no one knew was there!”
(‭‭Psalms‬ ‭77‬:‭19‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

- Are you on Gods road following his ways or are you on your road and asking Him to bless it?
- Gods road is a road that is not obvious.
- Sometimes Gods road does not even make sense.
- Many times Gods path that He is taking you on doesn’t even look like a path at all, like Psalm 77 :19 says, it’s a “pathway no one knew was there!”
- Today, let me encourage you to get close to Jesus!
- Get as close as you can and then ask the Lord to open your eyes to His path!
- His path is a path of blessing for you!
- Psalm 77:16 says, “When the Red Sea saw you, O God, its waters looked and trembled! The sea quaked to its very depths.”
- ‭‭When you walk with the Lord and follow His ways, even the things that are resisting you will open up.
- When the sea saw the children of Israel standing at the edge of its water, the sea did not see the people, the sea saw the Lord and trembled!
- It says, “The sea quaked to its very depths.”
- That’s why it is so important to know who you stand with.
- 1 John 4:4 says, “The Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world.”
- ‭‭He is greater!
- Greater than any fear that you face and He can make a way when there is no way!
- And He’s not only with you, He is in you!
- If you commit yourself to the Lord, all those that resist you will see the Lord and will respond to His presence, not you!
- The sea did not see helpless people, The sea saw its Creator!
- That which was standing in the way of Gods people had to bow to His name and His presence!
- When God is present, seas have to split apart!
- When God is on the scene, every created thing must respond and Acknowledge who He is and His presence!
- Today ask the Lord Almighty to open your eyes so that you see what He sees!
- Ask Him to show you “the pathway no one knew was there!”
- Then take a step on His path! It is a blessed pathway!
- God bless you, have a great weekend!

DEVO. 08.31.26

“But I tell you this—though he won’t do it for friendship’s sake, if you keep knocking long enough, he will get up and give you whatever you need because of your shameless persistence.” (Luke‬ ‭11‬:‭8‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

- When it comes to your prayer life, do you show shameless persistence when you ask?
- Or do you ask and then give up after a few days!
- Jesus gives us this example of being shameless and being persistent.
- This example is something that he expects us to follow.
- He says, “Suppose you went to a friend’s house at midnight, wanting to borrow three loaves of bread. (Luke‬ ‭11‬:‭5‬ ‭NLT‬‬)
- And your friends response is “‘Don’t bother me. The door is locked for the night, and my family and I are all in bed. I can’t help you.’” (11‬:‭7‬)
- The friend does not say that he doesn’t have it to give, the friend says, “Don’t bother me.”
- It is inconvenient for him!
- You have a choice, you can be offended and angry or because this person is your friend, you can become persistent and shameless and ask even louder!
- That’s how Jesus encourages us to pray!
- Because of our relationship with Jesus, we have privileges that others do not!
- Hebrews 4:16 tells us that “we can come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.”
- Right after this Jesus goes on to say, “ So I tell you, keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.” (11‬:‭9‬-‭10‬)
- So my question today is, what have you given up asking for?
- Why have you stopped?
- Today, get a little shameless!
- Become specific and persistent and ask!
- Don’t give up because everyone who asks, receives!
- Today is a great day to be persistent and not give up!
- Have a great Monday!
