Just a short update on Jerry. The surgery went well, the shunt, the beginning point of infection, has been successfully and completely removed. He is on a lot of IV antibiotics. He is at this present time still in ICU. We are Praising God for all our prayer warriors and we ask that you do not grow weary in praying and lifting us up to the Lord. He has just begun his road to recovery, so Every time the Lord brings us to mind, please whisper a prayer on our behalf.
On another note, Cassie was coming to the hosp to bring us some things and see her dad, when someone ran a stop sign and t-boned her on the passenger side of the car. Cassie Durden was banged up a little, sore and hurt her back. But Praise God, alive and able to continue. The car however, wasn't so lucky, it has been totaled. This was the Nissan, but cars can be replaced, Cassie can't. We Praise God she is ok, please continue to pray for her also, as she travels back and forth daily to be with her dad, and that allows me to stay at the hosp with Jerry. Again, thank you for all you prayers and encouraging words. We love and miss you, Jerry, Susie, Cassie, Ruby and family.

Today we are away attending Jerry's graduation in Va. He's received his doctoral degree, and I wanted to post a personal message to him.

I'm so proud of you honey, I'm so glad God led you to this point, to this church, to these people, to this time. I personally praise God for you and for your tenacity throughout this degree and your faithfulness to a living, loving, merciful and gracious God. I love you sweetheart.

We're attending church this morning with 3 of our 4 daughters, to celebrate mother's day with them. We will be traveling home this week, please pray for our travel. We pray to see each of you next Sunday, as our church will celebrate our Mother's then, by recognizing all of our mothers. And most of all thank you all for your support for your Pastor, your prayers, and all the ways that you show your love to him, to me, and to our family. God bless you all. Love, Susie
