We're gonna sing a little something from everybody — Baptist, Lutheran, Pentecostal, etc. and a couple from our own hymnal. "Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye people!"

A HUGE thank you to Helen and Curt Ferguson for opening up their home yesterday for St. John’s Annual Brats Party. Thirty-six (36) attended this fellowship event! In addition to the Brats, baked beans, macaroni salad, and deviled eggs, St. John’s very own recipe for sauerkraut (over 50 years old?) which originated from Rowena Woodard, was served and enjoyed by all! It is said that even if you do t like sauerkraut, you will like this! Thanks also for the TON of homemade deserts that parishioners brought for all to enjoy!

Get ready for more FOOD, FUN and FELLOWSHIP! Our annual St. John’s Brats Party this year will take place on Saturday, September 12th at the home of Helen and Curt Ferguson beginning at 4:30 pm. This no-cost event (a free-will donation plate will be available for those wishing to help contribute toward our fellowship events) will include all our favorites but especially the famous St. John’s sauerkraut! A sign- up sheet will be available beginning this Sunday in the cloister for both the 8:00 and 10:00 mass as well as in the parish hall during coffee hour. Please remember to RSVP so we have an accurate number for food purchase. In addition, the sign-up sheet will include 7 lines on it for parishioners who wish to bring a dessert. RSVP’s are requested by September 9th. Table service is included but it is suggested you bring a lawn chair if you have one. For any questions, contact Ken Hawley, Helen Ferguson or Doug in the parish office
