We give thanks to God for our Jr. Confirmands who were confirmed this past Sunday, April 26, 2026, at Pilgrim Lutheran Church. What a joy it was to witness their bold confession of faith in Christ and receive the blessings of His promises.

We are grateful for the time, study, and dedication they have given as they have grown in their understanding of God’s Word. We pray that the Lord will continue to strengthen them in their faith as they seek to continue in growing in His word and remain steadfast in His truth.

A special thank you to Pastor Brock for his faithful preaching and for the sermon he shared, reminding us all of the importance of remaining rooted in Christ and trusting in His saving grace.

Please join us in lifting up our Confirmands in prayer as they continue their walk of faith. ✝️

From our Gospel lesson yesterday! John 20:24-31 English Standard Version. Jesus and Thomas 24 Now Thomas, one of the twelve, called the Twin,[a] was not with them when Jesus came. 25 So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord.” But he said to them, “Unless I see in his hands the mark of the nails, and place my finger into the mark of the nails, and place my hand into his side, I will never believe.”26 Eight days later, his disciples were inside again, and Thomas was with them. Although the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you.” 27 Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand, and place it in my side. Do not disbelieve, but believe.” 28 Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!” 29 Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” 30 Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; 31 but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.

Luke 22..."Institution of the Lord's Supper

14 And when the hour came, he reclined at table, and the apostles with him. 15 And he said to them, “I have earnestly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer. 16 For I tell you I will not eat it[b] until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God.” 17 And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he said, “Take this, and divide it among yourselves. 18 For I tell you that from now on I will not drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.” 19 And he took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” 20 And likewise the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood."

The prophecy fulfilled!
Isaiah 53. He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth; like a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and like a sheep that before its shearers is silent, so he opened not his mouth....
because he poured out his soul to death and was numbered with the transgressors; yet he bore the sin of many,
and makes intercession for the transgressors.
