Our Simply Serving Community Day in Central Park was heartwarming and inspiring. The opportunity to be a blessing to others without judgement but to simply serve with compassion is the way to let God’s love shine. In return, we received so many Thank You’s with smiles.

We had volunteers from other churches and connected with other concerned community citizens for future community days. To God Be The Glory 🙌🏾

Spotlight goes to three of our church volunteers Sis Carla, Sis Shania and Bro. Marquies. We love y’all and thank you for Simply Serving.

“For I was hungry, and you gave me food; I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you brought me together with yourself and welcomed and entertained and lodged me,”

CELEBRATING ONE OF OUR OWN! 🌟

Main Street Church of the Living God proudly celebrates Shelith Whiting Hansbro who was recently recognized as a 2026 Girl Scouts of Central Illinois Diamond Honoree for her leadership, service, and commitment to making a difference in the lives of others.

Shelith’s dedication to mentoring young ladies, empowering others, and serving our community reflects the values we strive to live out each day. Her recognition is a wonderful reminder that service is not simply something we do—it is an expression of who we are and what we do.

Just like our Pastor has taught us to Simply Serve!

We are grateful to celebrate this special moment alongside our beloved Overseer Walker and members of our church family.

Shelith, we congratulate you on this well-deserved honor and thank you for the many ways you continue to make a positive impact in our community.
