TRUST AND OBEY - "Samuel said: Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams." — (1 Samuel 15:22 NKJV)

These powerful words were spoken by the prophet Samuel to King Saul, who had partially obeyed God's command. Saul defeated the Amalekites as instructed but kept the best livestock and spared King Agag, justifying his actions as offerings for God. Yet God saw through his excuses.

This verse reveals a profound truth: God values our obedience over our offerings. We cannot substitute compliance with religious activity. He doesn't want our impressive sacrifices when our hearts remain resistant to His direction. The Lord desires relationship expressed through trust and obedience, not rituals that mask rebellion. When we obey fully, we honor God more than any grand gesture ever could. TRUST AND OBEY (MLG)

CORRECTION IS NOT PUNISHMENT IT'S PROMOTION - "Whoever loves instruction loves knowledge, but he who hates correction is stupid. (Proverbs12:1)

The words of Solomon cut through our excuses with surgical precision. The verse draws a stark line: Our response to correction reveals what we truly love. Those who embrace discipline demonstrate a genuine hunger for knowledge and growth. Those who reject correction, well, Scripture doesn't mince words, displays foolishness.

This is not about enjoying criticism or seeking out rebuke. Rather, it is about recognizing the treasure hidden within correction. Every piece of constructive feedback is a roadmap to becoming more like Christ. When we resist correction defensively, we essentially choose comfort over growth, pride over wisdom. Bu when we receive it gratefully, we position ourselves for acceleration in our spiritual journey. The wisest people are not those who never need correction, they are those who receive it with thanksgiving.

WALKING BY FAITH - "For we walk by faith, not by sight. (2 Corinthians 5:7)

This passage is not merely a suggestion; it is a declaration of how believers are called to operate. The original Greek word for "walk" here implies a continuous, habitual action. Paul is not describing occasional faith but a lifestyle of trusting God beyond what our natura eyes can perceive.

Sight walking keeps us confined to the natural realm. But faith-walking grants us access to the supernatural, where provision appears from unexpected sources, doors open without explanation, and breakthrough comes before circumstances change. Abraham left Ur without a map. Peter stepped onto water without guarantees. The heroes of faith a moved before they saw. WALKING BY FAITH (MLG)

Moments Of Reflection
Wednesday - Thursday, May 27-28, 2026 - "Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; as obedient children, not conforming to the former lists, as in your ignorance." (1 Peter 1:13-14 NKJV)

Peter knew the challenging days the his fellow believers would face. So he reminded then about their security as children of God.

His first point, which relates to our mind, is that what we believe has a direct impact on our response to problems.

Second, "be sober in spirit," in other words, to maintain our balance in the midst of crises large and small. That means resisting quick fixes to problems and refusing to embrace ungodly ideas or philosophies. With the Spitit's help, we can learn to stand firm and steadfastly follow the Lord, no matter what comes our way. BEING READY IN TOUGH TIMES (MLG)
