House of the Lord Church

House of the Lord Church Building History "100 Years of History" House of the Lord Church moved into the current building in January 1, 1993. Mr Clyde W. Seymour and his wife Rachel E.

However this building has a much longer history. Seymour of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania purchased the church building's land from the Plat of Summit Park in 1889. The Seymours sold their building to the Seventh Day Advent Church Somewhere between 1889 and 1912. It is noted on the cornerstone that the building was constructed in 1896. The Seventh Day Adventist Church worshiped here until 1949 and t

hen sold it to Pentecostal Church of of Davenport. Pentecostal Church of Davenport later changed their name to the Pentecostal Church of God and sold the building to The House of the Lord Mission Church in December 1992. We are still worshiping here over 100 years later singing and shouting praises to the Lord!
