On this Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, we are reminded of Christ's boundless love, mercy, and compassion for each of us. May His Sacred Heart draw us closer to Him and inspire us to share that same love with those around us. ❤️

"Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest." – Matthew 11:28

🙏 Congratulations to Fr. Alfonso Pizano on his ordination to the priesthood for the Diocese of Davenport! May God bless him abundantly as he begins his ministry, serving Christ and His Church with faith, joy, and dedication.

We also ask for your continued prayers for all of our seminarians, especially Justin Meier, a member of our parish community, as he continues to discern and prepare for his vocation. May the Holy Spirit guide and strengthen him each day.

Let us also pray that more young men and women hear God's call and respond generously to vocations as priests, sisters, deacons, and religious brothers. The Church needs faithful servants to share the Gospel and lead others closer to Christ.

"He said to them, 'The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few; so ask the master of the harvest to send out laborers for his harvest.'" — Luke 10:2

Please join us in praying for an increase in vocations and for all those discerning God's call in their lives. 🙏✝️

You could accompany the post with a photo from Fr. Pizano's ordination or a vocation-themed image from the Diocese of Davenport.

Jesus reminds us in today's Godspel that what is in our hearts matters. Anger, resentment, and hate are heavy burdens to carry. They weigh us down and keep us from experiencing God’s peace.

If there is hurt, bitterness, or a grudge you've been holding onto, let it go. Choose forgiveness. Choose reconciliation. Choose peace.

Life is too short, and God's love is too great, to let hate take up space in our hearts. ❤️🙏

In today's Gospel, Jesus calls us to faithfully live and share God's teachings—not by following the crowd, but by following Him. May we have the courage to stand firm in our faith, live with love and integrity, and be a light to those around us.

"Whoever obeys and teaches these commandments will be called greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven." (Matthew 5:19)
