Before you judge the homeless person standing on the corner, remember that many of them are fighting battles most of us could never imagine. Mental illness, addiction, trauma, grief, abuse, abandonment… these things don’t always look the way people think they should.

Some people aren’t asking for money as much as they are asking for a little grace. A smile. A kind word. To be seen as human.

Not every story is the same, but compassion costs nothing. We never truly know how close someone is to losing everything or how hard they’re fighting just to survive another day.

Please choose kindness. The world already has enough judgment.

We truly hate having to make this post, but we desperately need help.

Every week we work to make sure the less fortunate in our community have a warm meal and know someone cares about them. Lately, we’ve been struggling to find enough volunteers — especially on Saturdays — and we are reaching a point where we simply cannot do it alone anymore.

We also urgently need help picking up donations that help keep this mission going.

If you have a few hours to spare, please consider volunteering. Something that may seem small to you can mean everything to someone who is hungry, struggling, or feeling forgotten.

And if you can’t volunteer right now, please share this post. The more people who see it, the better chance we have of finding the help we so desperately need.

We’re reaching out to our amazing community for a little help ❤️

At King’s Harvest Ministries, we serve so many individuals and families each day, and our space is constantly being used for meals, connection, and support. Right now, we are in need of new folding chairs to better serve those who walk through our doors.


Our current chairs are worn out and breaking, and we want to provide a safe, comfortable place for everyone who comes in.
