Your Lent offerings provided relief for people in Kirangare, Tanzania whose crops were damaged by weather. But you were so generous, there was money left over! So the women of Kirangare Lutheran Parish used the extra to buy a freezer for milk, so that their milk doesn’t have to be thrown away when it’s not sold immediately.
Instead, with the freezer, the women will set up a Milk Store in Dido shopping center. The Milk Store will buy fresh milk from families, and buyers will come from within and beyond Kirangare to buy it. Pastor Fue said, “This model will provide families who keep dairy cows with reliable place to sell their milk.” A woman will be hired as storekeeper. Profits will support the work of the Kirangare Lutheran Parish Women.
