Durante el tiempo de formación en el Seminario, han de tener abiertos sus corazones para que sea el Espíritu quien modele en Ustedes la imagen del Sumo Sacerdote. De hecho, “el Paráclito, el Espíritu Santo, que enviará el Padre en mi nombre, será quien os lo enseñe todo y os vaya recordando todo lo que os he dicho”.... The retreat in Spanish for women by the Vincentian Lay Missionaries of St. Vincent de Paul Church at St Joseph Salesian Retreat Center in Los Angeles

More than 30 women participated in this weekend retreat. With many cries and laughter, they finished strong with renewed faith and joy of being a Catholic woman. Praise the Lord for His marvelous works. The Holy Spirit undoubtedly has penetrated their hearts. Thank you for trusting God.

Co-op Vincentian Mission Appeal for Kenya

“You are witnesses of these things.” (Lk 24:48)

Jesus calls all of the baptized to proclaim his love in his passion, death, resurrection and ascension through our concrete testimony of life as his missionary disciples. It is my privilege to be able to share the Vincentian mission in Kenya where they expand to Uganda with 1 parish and 27 outstations. May God continue blessing the Vincentian work he started there.

Cada semana, una familia toca la figura de Santísima Trinidad a su casita y reza con la familia por vocación católicaca, especialmente de los sacerdotes y hermanos vicentinos.

En este año jubilar de 400º aniversario de la fundación de la Congregación de la Misión, pidamos a Dios que más jóvenes disciernan su vocación de servir y evangelizar a los pobres.

As a house close to DePaul Univerisry, we always have international Vincentian priests scholars studying there. Though the Memorial Day weekend mixed up the residence in and out, the dialy mass at the house has such an international flavor. Needless to sat, we enjoyed unusually quiet breakfast of infamous “cinnamon roll”at Ann Sather before the crowd jammed the restaurant!

Vocation is a journey together responding to a call to receive and share God’s love in the best way one can imitate Christ. While celebrating all the Holy Sacrifice of masses this weekend for vication promotion, it was such a joy to be with Catholic Campus Ministry team at DePaul University at St. Vincent’s parish in Lincoln Park. Fr. Rogelio, CM and Fr. Hermy, CM joined Fr. Derek, CM for 5 am mass. Fr. Tony Dosen, CM, concelebrated at 10 am mass concelebrated with me. It is officially ‘summer’ time beginning this Memorial Day weekend!

Jesúss nos dio un mandamiento nuevo a amarnos unos a otros. Rezar por el bienestar de otros es un acto concreto del amor manifestado en nuestra vida. Dios nos invita a rezar en nuestro cuarto en secreto, es decir, nuestro corazón. Que el Señor resucitado los acompáñe siempre.
