Our three-day summer camp was held this year June 2-4. Our theme this year was the 10 Commandments- A Guide to our Lives and Hearts. We were blessed to have Fr. Vadimir, Pdn. Jovan, our Midwestern Diocese Director of Youth Ministries and Fr. Bojan from Sv. Petka in Nashville as our spiritual leaders for camp. The children enjoyed singing with them and learning about the meaning and importance of God's commandments. On Wednesday, Fr. Vladimir and Pdn. Jovan celebrated the Divine Liturgy with the children. It was a special joy to see all the children receive Holy Communion. They also took part in Kolo dancing, Serbian language lessons, and arts and crafts. Additionally, we worked on a service project to honor our parishioners who supported the Sunday School, as well as those who may no longer be able to attend church. We ended the camp with a big splash! We had a giant, inflatable bounce house and water slide. Much thanks to all our clergy and camp volunteers who made this camp so memorable for our kiddos!!

Наш тродневни летњи камп је ове године одржан од 2. до 4. јуна. Наша тема ове године била је 10 заповести - водич за наше животе и срца. Благословени смо што су нам о. Вадимир, отац Јован, директор омладинске службе наше Средњозападне епархије, и о. Бојан из цркве Свете Петке у Нешвилу били духовни вође у кампу. Деца су уживала певајући са њима и учећи о значењу и важности Божјих заповести. У среду су отац Владимир и отац Јован служили Божанску литургију са децом. Била је посебна радост видети сву децу како примају свето причешће. Такође су учествовали у коло плесу, часовима српског језика и уметности и занатима. Поред тога, радили смо на пројекту службе у част наших парохијана који су подржали недељну школу, као и оних који можда више не могу да иду у цркву. Камп смо завршили великим прскањем! Имали смо огромну, надувну кућицу за скакање и водени тобоган. Велико хвала свим нашим свештенствима и волонтерима у кампу који су овај камп учинили тако незаборавним за нашу децу!!

Celebration of the Second Day of Holy Trinity Feast

On Monday, June 1, our Holy Trinity Parish in St. Louis solemnly celebrated the second day of its patronal feast. The Hierarchical Divine Liturgy was celebrated by His Eminence Archbishop of Chicago and Metropolitan of New Gračanica Longin, joined by His Grace Bishop Kliment, Vicar Bishop of His Eminence Metropolitan Joseph of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church.
A special joy for our parish was the presence of Bishop Kliment, a wonderful hierarch filled with love, humility, and brotherly care for all who gathered. Concelebrating with the hierarchs were clergy from sister Orthodox jurisdictions: Fr. Tiberiu from the Romanian Orthodox Church; Fr. Panayiotis Kostoulas, Fr. Achilleas, and Fr. Joseph from the Greek Orthodox Church; Fr. Ivan Malinov from the Bulgarian Orthodox Church; as well as Serbian Orthodox clergy—Fr. Bojan from Nashville, Fr. Radomir from Kansas, and the host parish priest.
We were especially honored by the presence of Mr. Marko Nikolić, Consul General of the Republic of Serbia, and Mr. Andrija Zečević, Consul of the Republic of Serbia. Their attendance added to the significance and joy of this important day for our parish community.
A large number of faithful from our parish, together with members of the Bulgarian Orthodox community, participated prayerfully in the celebration, bearing witness to the unity of the Orthodox faith and the bonds of Christian brotherhood among our peoples.
A particular blessing for our parish was the gift of a relic cloth from the vestments of Saint King Milutin, one of the most revered figures in Serbian spiritual and national history. This precious holy relic will remain a lasting blessing and source of spiritual comfort for all the faithful who come to worship in our church.
Following the Divine Liturgy and festive celebration, the gathering continued with a fellowship meal lovingly prepared by KSS of our parish community. In a spirit of Christian love and unity, the faithful shared in the joy of the great Feast of Pentecost and enjoyed the opportunity for fellowship with one another.
We give thanks to God for this blessed day and extend our gratitude to our hierarchs, clergy, distinguished guests, and all the faithful whose presence enriched the celebration of the patronal feast of Holy Trinity Parish.

Прослава другог дана празника Свете Тројице

У понедељак, 1. јуна, наша парохија Свете Тројице у Сент Луису свечано је прославила други дан храмовне славе. Свету Архијерејску Литургију служио је Његово Високопреосвештенство Архиепископ Чикашки и Митрополит Новограчанички г. Лонгин, коме се придружио Његово Преосвештенство Епископ Климент, викар Његовог Високопреосвештенства Митрополита бугарског Јосифа.
Посебну радост представљало је присуство Владике Климента, дивног архијереја испуњеног љубављу, смирењем и братском пажњом према свима сабранима. Заједно са архијерејима саслуживали су и свештеници братских православних јурисдикција: из румунске цркве отац Тибериу, из грчке цркве отац Панајотис Костулас, отац Акилис и отац Џозеф, из бугарске цркве отац Иван Малинов, као и свештеници Српске Православне Цркве – отац Бојан из Нешвила, отац Радомир из Канзаса, и парох домаћин.
Велику част указали су нам својим присуством генерални конзул Републике Србије у Чикагу Марко Николић и конзул Андрија Зечевић. Њихово присуство допринело је свечаности овог значајног дана за нашу парохијску заједницу.
Бројни верници наше парохије, као и верници братске бугарске православне цркве, молитвено су учествовали у овом празничном сабрању, сведочећи јединство православне вере и братску љубав међу нашим народима.
Посебан благослов за нашу парохију представљало је даривање дела одежде Светог краља Милутина, једне од најзначајнијих личности српске духовне и националне историје. Ова драгоцена светиња остаће као трајни благослов и духовна утеха свим верницима који долазе у наш храм.
Након Свете Литургије и празничног славља, дружење је настављено уз трпезу љубави коју су са много труда и љубави припремили чланови КСС наше црквене заједнице. У духу хришћанске љубави и заједништва, верни народ је имао прилику да настави празнично сабрање и подели радост великог празника Педесетнице.
Благодаримо Господу на овом благословеном дану, нашим архијерејима, свештенству, уваженим гостима и свим верницима који су својим присуством увеличали прославу храмовне славе Свете Тројице.

Holy Trinity Patronal Feast Celebration in St. Louis

The Serbian Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity in St. Louis solemnly celebrated its patronal feast, the Feast of the Descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles (Holy Trinity/Pentecost). This year's celebration was especially blessed by the visit of His Eminence, Archbishop of Chicago and Metropolitan of New Gračanica Longin.
The spiritual celebration began with Great Vespers on Saturday, May 31, at 5:00 p.m. A large number of faithful gathered to welcome the feast day in prayer and spiritual joy.

On the Feast of Holy Trinity, Sunday, the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy was celebrated at 10:00 a.m., presided over by Metropolitan Longin. Concelebrating with His Eminence were Protopresbyter-Stavrophor and parish rector Fr. Vladimir Terzić, Protodeacon Milovan Gogić, and Deacon Stefan Radović.

The beautiful liturgical responses were provided by our church choir under the direction of Adam Čkautović, whose singing uplifted the prayers of the faithful to the Lord.
This year’s feast sponsors (Kumovi) were Predrag and Biljana Vukadinović and their family, who lovingly and diligently prepared everything necessary for the celebration of the parish feast day.

Following the Divine Liturgy, the traditional blessing of the Slava wheat and the cutting of the Slava bread took place in the church hall. A festive banquet of Christian fellowship was then prepared and enjoyed by all present.

A special joy was brought to the celebration by the children of our parish, who performed a beautiful cultural program featuring traditional Serbian folk dances, demonstrating that our Orthodox faith, Serbian heritage, and culture continue to be faithfully passed on to younger generations.

At the conclusion of the festivities, Metropolitan Longin presented books to the graduates of our Sunday School, high school graduates, and college graduates, congratulating them on their achievements and wishing them God’s blessings and success in their future endeavors.

During the celebration, the honor of hosting next year's patronal feast was also passed on, and the Kurtuma family will serve as the feast sponsors for the Holy Trinity celebration in 2027.

May the Lord, through the prayers of the Holy Trinity, bless all who participated in this prayerful gathering and grant our parish continued spiritual growth, unity, and love for many years to come.

Прослава храмовне славе Свете Тројице у Сент Луису

Српска православна црква Свете Тројице у Сент Луису свечано је прославила своју храмовну славу – празник Силаска Светога Духа на апостоле, Свету Тројицу. Овогодишње славље било је посебно благословено посетом Његовог Високопреосвештенства Архиепископа Чикашког и Митрополита Новограчаничког Лонгина.

Молитвено славље започето је вечерњим богослужењем у суботу, 31. маја, са почетком у 17 часова. Велики број верника окупио се да дочека храмовну славу у молитви и духовној радости.

На сам празник Свете Тројице, у недељу, Света архијерејска литургија служена је са почетком у 10 часова, а њоме је началствовао Митрополит Лонгин. Његовом Високопреосвештенству саслуживали су протонамесник и старешина храма Владимир Терзић, протођакон Милован Гогић и ђакон Стефан Радовић.

За прелепо црквено благољепије током богослужења побринуо се хор наше Цркве под диригентском палицом Адама Чкаутовића, који је својим појањем узнео молитве верног народа ка Господу.

Овогодишњи домаћини славе били су Предраг и Биљана Вукадиновић са својом породицом, који су са великом љубављу и посвећеношћу припремили све што је било потребно за прославу храмовне славе.

По завршетку Свете литургије, у црквеној сали обављен је чин резања славског колача и освећења славског жита. Након тога приређена је богата трпеза љубави за све присутне.

Посебну радост свима присутнима приредила су деца наше парохије, која су извела леп културно-уметнички програм и сплет народних игара, показујући да се српска вера, традиција и култура успешно преносе на млађе нараштаје.

На крају свечаности, Митрополит Лонгин је уручио пригодне књиге дипломцима наше недељне школе, као и матурантима средњих школа и студентима који су успешно завршили своје школовање, пожелевши им Божји благослов и успех у даљем животу.

Током прославе предата је и кумовска част за наредну годину, те ће домаћини храмовне славе Свете Тројице 2027. године бити породица Куртума.
Нека Господ молитвама Свете Тројице благослови све који су учествовали у овом молитвеном сабрању и подари нашој парохији духовни напредак, слогу и љубав на многаја љета.

Each year on the 40th day after the Great and Holy Feast of Pascha, the Eastern Orthodox Church celebrates the Feast of the Ascension. This Feast commemorates the 40th day after Christ’s resurrection, when Jesus led His disciples to the Mount of Olives, blessing them and asking them to wait for the fulfillment of the promise of the Holy Spirit, He ascended into heaven and took His place at the right hand of the Father.
