I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!🍦

What a great day in worship and following as part of our fifth Sunday ice cream social! In worship, we bid farewell to longtime members Kenneth and Delores Green who are relocating to Florida, were encouraged by Mary Lynn Luke’s report on 48 prospective Scouts for the year ahead and her plea for sponsorships, and were emboldened by Rev. Nancy’s message from Ecclesiastes: “Love Your Mother and Care for Creation.” Crossroads kids also had a wonderful time with Ms. Sherri and Ms. Stacey!

Drew Daniels won the coveted Golden Scoop 🥄Award with his homemade coffee ice cream at the hot dog 🌭lunch and ice cream 🍨 social. Thanks to all who participated and enjoyed the yummy treats and fellowship! Today was just further proof that Crossroads UMC is a great place to be! Won’t you join us?

Who will win the Golden Scoop Award this Sunday, August 30?!🥄🌟

Join us for worship at 10 a.m. this fifth Sunday of the month and stay afterwards for a hot dog 🌭 lunch at the pavilion followed by homemade ice cream 🍦 that will be taste-tested and voted on by those in attendance. The ice cream with the most votes wins the coveted Golden Scoop that was won by Mary Jane Lea last year (pictured with 🗳️ vote-tallying expert Fred Watson).

If you’re interested in bringing ice cream, please let Dale Montgomery know as soon as possible! Thank you and we’ll see you Sunday!

School is back in session and Crossroads welcomed Hightower Trail Elementary RCPS parents dropping off their students on the first day in style - with a smile, cheerful greeting, and blessing bag with water and a snack! ☺️

Thank you to those who rose early this morning to offer this gesture of Jesus' love to our neighbors next door! We hope all students, parents, faculty, staff, and school system employees have a terrific first day back to school!🍎🏫
