Good morning and welcome to Trinity Baptist Church! We are so happy to have you with us this morning. Today's sermon is a special one with Pastors Cy and Alex team preaching concerning how it matters more that followers are known for what we do and say to promote positive human relationships instead of what we are against. Alex leads off with "Because I am a Christian, I Care ..." from Philippians 2:3-5, 13; and James 2:14-19, 24, 26. Cy will conclude with "Because I am a Christian, I Share ..." from 1 Peter 3:8-17.

Good morning and welcome to Trinity Baptist Church. We are so happy to have you with us this morning. This Sunday's service is in celebration of Pentecost, when the disciples first received the Holy Spirit after Jesus's ascension into Heaven. Pastor Cy will be preaching on the power of the Spirit, and how it has changed after Jesus. Additionally, as it is Memorial Day weekend, we will be honoring those who have fallen.

Palm Sunday falls on the 5th Sunday of the month which brings a special Christival service in which our message is presented through the performing arts. Come join us as we learn about the very first Palm Sunday through the lives of Korah and Eleazar, an uncle and nephew, as they wait for Jesus to arrive in Jerusalem and debate what freedom and the Messiah should look like as crowds welcome Jesus with “Hosanna” and palm branches.

The nephew expects a conquering king who will defeat Rome, while the uncle wrestles with Jesus’ teachings on loving enemies, peacemaking, and going the extra mile, and with prophecies about peace and the Messiah riding a donkey. As Jesus arrives humbly, both realize they may have misunderstood him.
