As the world remembers Dolly Parton and the faith, generosity, and music she shared with the world, Carter McConnell offered this beautiful piano rendition of “I Will Always Love You.”

We give thanks for lives lived in service to others and for the gift of music that continues to bring us together. ❤️🎹

We had a wonderful time at our Stewardship Luncheon yesterday! Thank you to everyone who joined us for good food, fellowship, and an opportunity to celebrate the many ways God continues to work through St. James.

🙏 Lord God, we thank you for the gifts you have entrusted to us. Teach us to receive them with gratitude, share them with generosity, and use them faithfully for the good of your church and your world. Through Christ our Lord. Amen. 🙏

On Monday, our St. James Quilting Group welcomed Anne Spaulding and Marie White from Lutheran World Relief for a special visit. 🧵❤️

They thanked our quilters for their dedication and generosity, sharing how their quilts and kits make a real-world impact for neighbors in need around the world. 🌎

Each quilter received a special affinity pin as a thank-you and reminder of the love of Christ they share through their work.

We’re grateful for our quilters and the many ways they continue to be God’s hands in the world! 💙

This Sunday, we sent our students and teachers off with a special blessing as they prepare for a new school year! 🎒🙏📚

Almighty God, fountain of all wisdom,
You have blessed us with the joy
and care of children: give us and teachers
everywhere calm strength and patient
wisdom to bring them up, teaching them
to love whatever is just and true and good.

Bless now these backpacks and the children
who carry them: That with hearts enlightened
by your Holy Spirit they may grow in knowledge
and piety, to worship and serve you. 🙏

It’s not too late to join the St. James Parish Choir for this special Christmas tradition! Come be part of a beautiful evening of beloved carols, inspiring music, and the story of Christ’s birth. 🕯️🎄

Vacation Bible School came to a joyful close as some of our participants shared a special musical offering during worship this past Sunday. ❄️🎶

Thank you to our children, families, and volunteers who helped make this year’s Vacation Bible School special.

🎒📚✏️ As we look ahead to a new school year, we invite all students to join us this Sunday for Blessing of the Backpacks during worship. Bring your backpack as we pray for a safe, joyful, and Christ-centered school year. After worship, stay and enjoy lunch and fellowship with us! 🍎🙏

Our adventurers climbed into an evening of fun, faith, and learning as we kicked off Snow Mountain Challenge VBS last night!

Together, we’re discovering that God is always with us through every challenge. 💙
