Ron got saved in the 1984 at the age of 14, then a couple years later him and his family joined Jubilee Baptist Church, pastored by Mike Johnston. That is where Ron really became involved in ministry, such as youth group and soul winning.
Ron worked many years for his father-in-law and brother in law’s construction company but if you ask anyone His true calling was to preach. Ron pastored at Bible Believers Baptist Church in Hillsboro, Ohio. He later became assistant pastor for Newtonsville Baptist Church. Ron later had to retire because of being diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy. However, even with Muscular Dystrophy, Ron always kept his love for preaching and singing in church and continued to do those things as long as he was physically able to. He also provided for his family while having Muscular Dystrophy and never complained about it once.
Ron also enjoyed playing sports growing up. He played baseball, football, and basketball. As he got older he really enjoyed watching the Ohio State Buckeyes College Football team and the North Carolina Tar Heels Basketball team, that is why he always enjoyed the color, Carolina Blue. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and taking trips with his family.
