Mary’s church in New Haven, Connecticut, joined their 29-year-old parish priest, Father Michael J. McGivney,, to form a fraternal society that would one day become the world’s largest Catholic family fraternal service organization. The sought solidarity, security, unity of purpose and devotion to a holy cause; they vowed to be defenders of their country, their families and their faith. They were b

ound together by the ideal of Christopher Columbus, the discoverer of the Americas, who brought Christianity to the New World. Their efforts led to the incorporation of the Knights of Columbus on March 29, 1892. Father McGivney’s vision for the Order included a life insurance program to provide for the widows and orphans of deceased members. The Order’s insurance program had expanded substantially to serve more effectively the Knight’s growing membership. The Order provides the highest quality insurance, annuity and long-term care products to its members, along with many other fraternal benefits.

St. Andrew council #11275 held our annual awards night on May 13th to honor and thank all of our brother Knights who have served as an officer or director for the 2025/26 fraternal year.
We also recognized our council award winners for Religious of the Year, Knight of the Year, Family of the Year, and Youth of the Year.
Congratulations to all the award winners for their contributions to the St. Andrew parish and community!

All Council #11275 Brother Knights are encouraged to attend the June members meeting on Monday June 8th at the Bryce Eck Center!
Praying the Rosary will begin at 6:30 pm, and the meeting will begin promptly at 7 pm.
This will be the last meeting of the 2025/26 fraternal year. If you have not attended a meeting this year, this would be a good time to come and learn about our council's events this year, what to look forward to in 2026/27, participate in council elections, and join in fellowship and stay after for birthday cake to celebrate our Brother Knights Summer birthdays!
REMINDER - After the June meeting we won't meet again until August!

Thank you St. Andrew Parishioners and community!
The St. Andrew Knights of Columbus had a goal of collecting 10,000 diapers to donate towards the World's Largest Diaper Drive, and you helped surpass our goal and donated 16,494 diapers and 864 baby wipes that were collected last weekend!

The World's Largest Diaper Drive goal in 2026 is to collect 1 Million diapers in May!
You can help at St. Andrew to reach our goal of contributing 10,000 diapers by dropping off a donation in the church parlor until May 15th, 2026 (an drop-off location will also be a designated in the St. Andrew school).
The diapers will be picked-up on Saturday May 16th.

The St. Andrew Knights of Columbus Council #11275 will be manning the intersections at Reed and Henderson and Bethel & Sawmill TODAY May 2, 2026 from 10 am - 2pm to collect for The Measure Up Campaign which is our “flagship” fundraiser to assist those with developmental disabilities.
The Measure Up Campaign raises money for statewide and local caring agencies that sponsor a variety of training and support programs. Of the money collected statewide, 80 percent is returned to local councils. In past years, the St. Andrew Council has contributed their "Measure Up" share to Easter Seals of Central Ohio, Catholic Social Services, and the St. Andrew S.P.I.C.E. program.
