FAITH DOESN'T LOOK AT ITSELF. IT LOOKS TO JESUS.

Have you ever wondered:

“Is my faith strong enough?”
“Why don't I feel close to God?”
“Have I lost my faith?”

This Sunday we'll discover a surprising truth from Jesus' own words:

Certainty is found in the object of faith, not in the experience of faith.

In a world that tells us to look inside ourselves for answers, Jesus invites us to look somewhere else entirely—to Him.

One helpful practice is simply to notice.
Notice where God has been faithful.
Notice how He has answered prayers.
Sometimes the answer is "Yes."
Sometimes it's "No."
Sometimes it's "Wait."
But every answer reminds us of the same truth:
Our heavenly Father keeps His promises.
That's why prayer strengthens the Christian life—not because prayer earns God's favor, but because, as we continue living with our Father's promises, we discover again and again that He is faithful.
As you pray today, don't think about trying to become a better Christian.
Simply answer your Father's voice.
He's already spoken.
He's already made you His child.
And He delights to hear His children speak.

One of the discoveries from Sunday's sermon is surprisingly personal.
We're usually happy to receive help from God.
But we don't always want to remain receivers.
Instead, we quietly turn God's gifts into our projects.
Faith becomes something to improve.
Prayer becomes another spiritual discipline to master.
Bible reading becomes another item on the checklist.
Before long, God's gifts begin to feel like burdens.
Take a moment today and ask yourself:
Where have I quietly turned one of God's gifts into one of my projects?
Then hear Christ's invitation again.
You don't have to build your relationship with God.
Jesus already has.
You are free to receive.

Yesterday we discovered something surprising about prayer.

When Jesus teaches about prayer, He doesn't begin by saying, "Pray."

He begins by saying, **"Have faith in God."**

Why?

Because God always gets the first word.

Before we ever speak to Him, He has already spoken His promises to us in Christ. Prayer isn't our attempt to earn God's favor—it is the joyful response of faith to a Father who has already loved us, forgiven us, and called us His own.

Yesterday we heard something that changes the way we think about prayer.
When Jesus teaches about prayer in Mark 11, He doesn't begin by saying, "Pray."
He begins by saying, "Have faith in God."
That's because God always gets the first word.
He speaks.
Faith hears.
Faith receives.
Then faith responds.
Prayer isn't our attempt to convince God to love us.
Prayer is the joyful response of people whom Christ has already made His own.
That's good news.
You don't have to earn a relationship with your heavenly Father.
Jesus already has.
As you begin this week, remember: before you say a single word to God, He has already spoken His promises to you.
"Prayer didn't establish that relationship. Christ did."

Storms come in all shapes and sizes.

Sometimes it's a health diagnosis. Sometimes it's financial pressure. Sometimes it's grief, uncertainty, loneliness, or a burden that keeps you awake at 2:00 a.m.

When life gets difficult, it's easy to wonder: *Where is God? Has He forgotten me?*

This Sunday, we'll explore what God's Word says about trials, suffering, and faith. We'll discover that God doesn't promise a storm-free life—but He does promise to be at work in the middle of the storm, strengthening faith and drawing us closer to Himself.

"Is my faith strong enough?"

Many Christians quietly ask themselves that question.

The good news is that your salvation doesn't depend on the strength of your faith—it depends on the strength of your Savior.

This past Sunday we explored how faith isn't a work we do for God, but a gift He creates through His Word. Our confidence is not in ourselves, but in Jesus Christ and His promises.
