Join us on Sunday, May 3 at 3:00 p.m. for a special concert by the IPC Chancel Choir, soloists, and orchestra. The performance will feature Stephen Paulus's opera "The Three Hermits." This work is a radiant meditation on prayer, humility, and grace.
The concert is free and open to the public. We will collect a free-will offering with the proceeds being split between the IPC Music Ministry and Neighborhood Services, Inc Food Pantry
On a remote island, three hermits live in quiet devotion. When a learned bishop attempts to instruct them in "proper" prayer, he encounters a mystery that transcends human certainty. Paulus's luminous score, combined with Michael Dennis Browne's poignant libretto create spiritual depth in a work that is intimate, contemplative, and profoundly moving.

"Ah the Sunday after Easter. Time to beat up on poor doubting Thomas again. Or is it? Why do we do this to Thomas every other year? Can we really blame him? Shouldn't we actually...envy him a little? This week is an opportunity to witness the bodily resurrection of our Lord and Savior, as those who have not seen, and yet believe. Join us as we recognize the role we have to play in the ongoing story that started in a small, dark house almost 2000 years ago. Come let us worship the Lord."
Join guest pastor Taylor Barner, campus minister from Jacob’s Porch this Sunday as he preaches at IPC at 10:30.
