Naw-Rúz (Persian: نوروز, romanized: Nowruz) is the iranian/persian new year and celebrated as the first day of the Baháʼí calendar year and one of eleven holy days for adherents of the Baháʼí Faith. Presently, while it is largely a secular holiday for most celebrants and enjoyed by people of several different faiths and backgrounds, Nowruz remains a holy day for Zoroastrians, Baháʼís,and some Muslim communities.
