Have you noticed there are kids and families EVERYWHERE these days at MUMC? You can thank Ashley Shattuck for that! 🙌🏽 🙌🏽 🙌🏽 Ashley is our Director of Kids and Family Ministries, which means she's the face of MUMC for kiddos from birth to 5th grade. 👶🏼 She oversees our fantastic Sunday School programming, coordinates volunteers, plans fun and formative events for kids, and creates opportunities for parents to build a relationship with God and each other. 🩵 When kids arrive at MUMC, they know they're loved by God and by us. 🤩

On Sunday, we recognized Nate Drymalski and Jeremiah Primm as recipients of the MUMC Foundation Scholarship. 👏🏽 This scholarship supports high school graduates who’ve worked hard in school, served their community, and contributed to the ministry of MUMC. ❤️ We’re so proud of Nate and Jeremiah, and thankful for the generosity of our Foundation! 🎓

Summer at MUMC means a new group of interns! 🥳 Thanks to the good work of the Missouri Annual Conference, every summer we welcome a group of college students and young adults who want to explore their vocational calling in the context of the church's ministry. ⛪

This Sunday, we highlighted our Memorial Prayer Garden ministry. For almost 25 years, families have committed the ashes of their loved ones to the holy ground of Missouri UMC. The Memorial Prayer Garden gives people a worshipful, life-filled place to be laid to rest. Check out this video to hear more about what this ministry has meant to our congregation.

It's Meet-the-Staff-(Memorial)-Monday and we're always happy for a chance to hype Liz! 👏 Liz is our staff's renaissance woman, picking up tasks and tying up loose ends that would surely fall through the cracks without her. She serves the congregation by supporting our ministry groups and the people who lead them. 💪

Happy Friday! Say hi to Ryan C!

Ryan Cohen is our director of youth ministries, which means he's tasked with pouring into students from 6th to 12th grade as they grow as humans, friends, and followers of Jesus. ✝ His work day can include anything from buying massive quantities of junk food to teaching a class to praying with a student as they walk through something hard. 🙏🏽 Ryan LOVES the teens of MUMC and you won't find a more helpful or collaborative staff person. 🙌🏼
