In these days between Ascension and Pentecost, we gather with the disciples in the upper room, waiting for the Spirit to transform the church around the world. In today’s gospel Jesus prays for his followers and for their mission in his name. Amid religious, social, and economic divisions, we seek the unity that Jesus had with his Father. Made one in baptism, we go forth to live our faith in the world, eager for the unity that God intends for the whole human family. It's the season of Easter! Jesus does not abandon his followers. Through the Holy Spirit, Jesus comes to abide with his disciples of every generation. As Pentecost draws near, we are reminded that the risen Christ dwells in us as the Spirit of truth. We receive this Spirit in baptism and pray that in our gathering around the Lord’s table the Spirit will transform us to be the body of the risen Christ in the world. It's the season of Easter! Have you registered your child for Vacation Bible School?

VBS Week is July 27-31 from 8:30-11:30am at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Chippewa Falls, WI. It is free for the community, and all are welcome to join in the games, crafts, Bible stories, music, and more!

Our theme this year is called, "At the Table" and focuses on story-telling. The phrase “at the table” comes from a story in the Gospel of Luke (24:13-35), in which the resurrected Jesus appears to two followers traveling on a road to the town Emmaus. They don’t recognize him at first, and instead discuss recent events about Jesus’ death. The three of them show openness to each other, asking questions and answering with vulnerability. Finally, when Jesus eats with them and breaks bread around the table, the two people recognize him and he disappears.

During VBS, we'll bake bread and break bread together as we share our stories and grow in faith and friendship. Please register by June 27!

VBS week is July 27-31, 2026 from 8:30AM - 11:30AM. Age groups: Pre-school and Elementary. Free for the community! Note: Any children wearing diapers must be accompanied by a caregiver at all times.

Our synod's ministry, Neighbor to Neighbor, is getting ready for their annual thrift sale on May 14-16 to support scholarships for Hispanic students at UWEC and CVTC! Plants and baked goods also included.

Freezing weather in May?! That has nothing on us!! Last night’s carnival was SO MUCH FUN! Face painting, balloon animals, bounce houses, fishing, flowers, and so many memories! Thank you to everyone who volunteered their time, and to everyone who stopped to play! ❤️🍿🎈🎉

As we continue to celebrate the fifty days of Easter, today’s gospel includes Jesus’ promise that he goes to prepare a place for his followers in his Father’s house. Our baptism commissions us to share Jesus’ mission in the world. As 1 Peter reminds us, we are a holy people, called to proclaim the one who called us out of darkness into light. In words and deeds we bear witness to the risen Christ—our way, our truth, our life. It's the season of Easter! Today is sometimes called “Good Shepherd Sunday.” Jesus is called the “gate” of the sheep in today’s gospel. The risen Christ opens the way to abundant life. He anoints our heads with oil and guides us beside the still waters of our baptism. Each Sunday he spreads a feast before us amid the world’s violence and war. We go forth to be signs of the resurrection and extend God’s tender care to all creation. It's the season of Easter!
