❤️ A Blessed Afternoon at Lake House

This afternoon, Pastor Paolo led our worship service with our friends at Lake House in Chippewa Falls, as part of the ongoing ministry of Zion and Hallie United Methodist Churches

Together we sang beloved hymns, prayed, shared Holy Communion, and reflected on Jesus’ beautiful invitation in Matthew 11:28–30: “Come to me… and I will give you rest.”

We also enjoyed hearing residents share stories about the work they did throughout their lives—a wonderful reminder of many years of labor, service, family, and faith.

We are grateful for another beautiful afternoon of worship, fellowship, and sharing God’s love with our Lake House community. ❤️🙏

♥️We are thankful for another beautiful and blessed Sunday at Zion UMC! 🙏

♥️This Holy Communion Sunday, we came to Christ’s Table together and reflected on Jesus’ teaching about reconciliation.

♥️In today’s message, “The Way of Reconciliation,” we were reminded that disagreements, offenses, and misunderstandings will happen because we are human. But Jesus teaches His Church what to do when something breaks between us.

♥️Go to the person.
Speak with grace.
Listen with humility.
Seek restoration.
Choose peace.

♥️We cannot always control how another person responds, but we can choose whether we will follow the way of Jesus.

♥️Romans 12:18 reminds us:
“If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.”

♥️As we begin another week, may God help us choose grace over gossip, restoration over revenge, and peace over division.

♥️May we be peacemakers. Amen.♥️

♥️Are You Still Following?

♥️This Sunday at Zion UMC, we journeyed through Matthew 16:21–28 and Jesus’ challenging invitation:

♥️“If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me.”

♥️These words were spoken to people who were already disciples. They had already followed. Already sacrificed. Already believed.

♥️But Jesus was not finished shaping them.

♥️And He is not finished shaping us.

♥️Whether we have followed Christ for one year or fifty, the question remains: Are we still willing to follow where He leads?

♥️This Sunday we explored what that looks like through four words: Faithfulness. Loyalty. Persistence. Surrender.

♥️We celebrate how far God has brought us while also having the courage to pray:

♥️“Lord, keep teaching me. Keep changing me. And help me keep following You.”

♥️At Zion we are still growing.
He is still shaping us.
And we are still following.

♥️What a meaningful Sunday of worship we shared at Zion UMC!

♥️Today we reflected on one of the most important questions Jesus asked His disciples:

“But who do you say that I am?” — Matthew 16:15

♥️Peter knew who Jesus was, but his journey was not finished. He still had much to learn, and so do we.

♥️We were reminded today that we are all still under construction. The Church is not made of perfect people, but of people who are continually being shaped by the grace of God.

♥️And that is why our hope is not in our perfection, but in the promise of Jesus:

“I will build my church.”

♥️The Builder is still working. Christ is still building His Church, and He is not finished with us yet.

♥️Thank you to everyone who worshiped with us today at Zion!

♥️We gathered today in love and gratitude, thanking God for the opportunity to worship together.

♥️We realize that sometimes it is easier to examine someone else’s hands than to examine our own hearts.

♥️That was one of the challenges we heard from Jesus this Sunday in Matthew 15. While others were concerned about outward purity, Jesus turned the conversation inward: What is coming from the heart?

♥️Our words, anger, attitudes, and the way we treat our neighbors reveal much more about us than outward appearances ever could. Jesus is not making holiness less important—he is making holiness much deeper. His invitation is not simply, “Clean up the outside,” but, “Let me transform your heart.”

♥️What a joy it was to worship together at Zion this Sunday. Sundays like this remind us that church is not simply a place we attend; it is a community where God continues shaping our hearts as we worship, learn, pray, and walk together.

Worship at Lake House

Today, Zion and Hallie United Methodist Church were blessed to worship with our friends at Lake House in Chippewa Falls.

Through songs, Scripture, prayer, and Holy Communion, we shared the reminder from Matthew 14:22–33 that even in life’s storms, Jesus is near and His hand is always ready to hold us.

We are grateful for this opportunity to share God’s love with our community!
