♥️We gathered together, on this beautiful morning, with joyful praise and hopeful hearts!

♥️We are reminded that our mission begins with compassion.

♥️In Matthew 9, Jesus saw people as sheep without a shepherd and was moved with compassion.

♥️His challenge to us is simple: Do we see people the way He sees them?

♥️May Zion UMC be a church that notices the hurting, welcomes the overlooked, and freely shares the grace we have freely received.

♥️People are not interruptions to God's mission. People are God's mission!♥️

♥️Faith in God can make each of us well!

♥️We are reminded that there are people in our lives who need a helper/healer.

♥️We are encouraged to reach out to others to help them see, and know God.

♥️We recognize that we are all sinners and need the healing that only Jesus, and His teachings, give us!

A heartfelt thank you to Pastor Paolo Vasquez and Ed Ebert, our Lay Leader and Annual Conference delegate, for representing our church at this year’s Wisconsin Annual Conference. We are grateful for their time and commitment as they participated in meaningful worship, ministry, fellowship, and important discussions that help guide the mission of our church.

Today we gathered together to explore one of Jesus' most important teachings: the Great Commission from Matthew 28:16–20.

When the disciples met the risen Christ on the mountain, some worshiped—and some doubted. Yet Jesus still called them, trusted them, and sent them.

That is good news for all of us.

We do not have to be perfect to be used by God.

We do not need all the answers before taking the next step.

Together we will reflect on what discipleship looked like in the early church and what it means for us today.

Because the question Jesus asks His Church is not:

"How big are you?"

But rather:

"Are you helping people follow Me?"

You are always welcome to come worship with us and be encouraged by the promise that Christ is still with His people and still calling us to His mission.
