"Getting Delivered From Demons and The People That Love Them!"
My reason for getting into ministry was never for celebrity or platforms. In fact, I went into it kicking and screaming! I didn't want to be in the pulpit at all. In fact, I didn't come from a family that frequented church. I was raised a Catholic. I hated going to church as a kid. When God called me, I asked Him to confirm it so often that He got upset with me! I finally answered His call upon my life and it hasn't been the same since! Its been a wonderful, yet hazardous journey thus far. I say all this to say, being a famous Christian should never be your primary goal for getting into ministry. Your goal shouldn't be to be the Beyonce' or Jay Z of Christiandome! The goal should be to serve Jesus Christ, our famous Lord! When I see the spirit of celebrity that's hit the church today, it bothers me. It's shouldn't be about individual success when it comes to ministry. We are admonished, in scripture, to esteem others better than ourselves, but how often does that really happen? There are spirits of arrogance, competition, jealousy and back-biting that have infiltrated many ministries in this hour. It's heartbreaking! We debate, argue and gossip like never before! We need to get in positions of humility, praying for instead of preying on each other. Encouraging each other, instead of letting everyone you meet how well you know the Holy Spirit, acting as if He only speaks to you and no one else. We must get over ourselves and into Him! Can I get closer to God? Absolutely! Can I hear from Him better? Definitely! Am I perfect? Not even close! I, like you, am a work in progress. I'm not nearly complete. I love God! I love God's people, but sometimes they're hard to deal with, as am I at times. The thing I'm working on the most these days is being delivered from the thoughts and opinions of others. I'm learning not to let callous, unprovoked attacks bother me. I'm slowly, but surely making great progress in this area. Once you get delivered from demons and the people that love them, then you'll be in good place! Selah!
