Week 6 - Tuesday / Let Your Light Shine - Matthew 5:16 (NIV)

People often see our actions before they hear our words. When we serve with kindness and humility, we point others toward God. Whether we are helping someone find employment, providing food for a family, or preparing school supplies for a child, every act of service becomes a reflection of God's love. Jesus reminds us in Matthew 5:16 that our light should shine before others so they may see our good works and glorify our Father in heaven. As we serve our community with compassion, we become living examples of faith, hope, and love in action.

Week 6 - Monday / Learn To Do Good - Isaiah 1:17 (NIV)

God's love becomes visible when His people choose to serve others. Isaiah 1:17 reminds us that faith is not only something we believe—it is something we live. Through ministries that provide meals, clothing, school supplies, and support for those in need, we have opportunities to put compassion into action and bring hope to our community. When we learn to do good, we reflect the heart of Christ and allow His light to shine through us.

"Doing good begins with a willing heart and becomes a powerful witness of God's love in action."

Week 6 - Shining Through Service / Scripture Focus: Isaiah 1:17; Romans 8:28-31; John 2:10; Matthew 5:16 (NIV)

In John 13, Jesus demonstrated true leadership by humbly washing the feet of His disciples. His example reminds us that faith is not only expressed through what we believe, but through how we serve others. This week, we will explore how prayer, study, service, and sacrifice help us reflect God's love in our homes, workplaces, churches, and communities. As followers of Christ, we are called to let our light shine through acts of kindness, compassion, and service that point others toward God.

"When we serve others with humility, we reflect the heart of Christ and allow His light to shine through us."

Week 5 - Saturday / Pastor Dunn's Real World Faith Lesson - The Holy Spirit Still Works Today!

Throughout this week, we have reflected on how the Holy Spirit gives us strength for today, guidance through uncertainty, courage to stand, unity across differences, and purpose to shine.

But what difference does the Holy Spirit make in our lives today?

In this encouraging message, Pastor Dunn reminds us that the Holy Spirit is not just part of a biblical story from long ago. The Holy Spirit still works today—guiding, strengthening, encouraging, and empowering God's people for everyday life.

Take a moment to listen and be encouraged.

Week 5 - Friday / SENT TO SHINE
Matthew 5:16 (NIV)

The Holy Spirit empowers us to live with purpose and make a difference wherever God has placed us.

You do not have to stand behind a pulpit to shine for Christ. God can use teachers, students, parents, caregivers, workers, volunteers, neighbors, and friends to bring light, hope, and encouragement to others.

The Holy Spirit helps us:
• see opportunities to serve
• encourage those who are struggling
• share God's love through our actions
• live each day with purpose and faith

No matter where you are today, God has given you the opportunity to be a light in someone's life.

One Spirit. One Purpose. Many Ways to Shine.

WEEK 5 - THURSDAY / CONNECTED ACROSS DIFFERENCES
Galatians 3:28 (NIV)

In today’s world, people are often divided by differences in background, culture, opinions, and life experiences. Fear and misunderstanding can cause people to pull apart instead of come together.

But the Holy Spirit reminds us that God calls us to love, unity, compassion, and understanding.

On the Day of Pentecost, people from many nations and backgrounds heard the message of God’s love together. The Holy Spirit brought people together through faith, hope, and purpose.

The Holy Spirit still works that way today:
• helping us love beyond differences
• teaching us to listen with compassion
• reminding us that every person has value
• calling us to unity instead of division

Different backgrounds. One Spirit. One purpose. One God.

Prayer for Today. Strength for Today. Hope for Tomorrow.

WEEK 5 - WEDNESDAY / COURAGE TO STAND
2 Timothy 1:7 (NIV)

There are moments in life when standing in faith is not always easy.
Sometimes courage means speaking truth with kindness. Sometimes it means helping others during difficult times. Sometimes it means continuing to trust God when fear, pressure, or uncertainty try to discourage you.

The Holy Spirit gives ordinary people courage to speak, serve, and live with faith.

God has not called us to live in fear, but to walk with strength, wisdom, compassion, and purpose. Through the Holy Spirit, we are reminded that we are never alone and that God can use our lives to encourage and uplift others.

Courage does not always mean having all the answers.
Sometimes courage simply means taking the next faithful step.

WEEK 5 - TUESDAY / GUIDED THROUGH UNCERTAINTY
John 16:13 (NIV)

Life does not always come with clear answers.
There are moments when people face uncertainty about family, health, finances, relationships, careers, and the future itself. During those seasons, it can be easy to feel overwhelmed, fearful, or unsure of what direction to take. But Jesus reminds us that the Holy Spirit still guides, comforts, and gives wisdom for the journey ahead.

The Holy Spirit helps us:
• find peace during stressful moments
• gain wisdom for important decisions
• trust God even when the path feels unclear
• move forward one step at a time with faith and courage

Sometimes God’s guidance comes quietly through prayer, scripture, reflection, wise counsel, or a growing sense of peace and clarity.

You may not always see the entire path ahead, but God promises to guide you through uncertain seasons.

WEEK 5 - Monday / FILLED WITH POWER - Acts 2:1–4 (NIV)

Life can leave people feeling tired, overwhelmed, uncertain, and emotionally drained. But the Holy Spirit still gives strength for today and hope for tomorrow.

On the Day of Pentecost, ordinary people were filled with God’s power for the journey ahead. That same Spirit still encourages, comforts, strengthens, and guides us today.

The Holy Spirit may work through:
• peace during difficult moments
• strength when life feels heavy
• wisdom during uncertain situations
• encouragement through prayer, scripture, or other people
• hope returning after discouraging seasons

You do not have to carry life’s burdens alone.

Week 5 - How Does the Holy Spirit Matter in Today's World? Acts 2:1-4 (NIV)

There are moments in life when we feel tired, overwhelmed, uncertain, or emotionally drained. But through prayer and the power of God’s Spirit, we can find strength for today and hope for tomorrow.

On the Day of Pentecost, the disciples were filled with power — not just for a moment, but for the journey ahead. That same Spirit still encourages, strengthens, and guides us today.

No matter what you are facing this week, you do not have to face it alone.
