During your time of mourning, we are here to serve your burial needs with dignity and respect. We offer interment and above-ground mausoleum spaces, as well as niches for cremains. The cemetery was first established in 1885 and is among the oldest in the Chicagoland area. We are a private, family-owned cemetery - one of very few in the country. Unlike most cemeteries, you won't find an investor portal on our website because we are committed to our patrons at Troost Cemeteries instead of returns to shareholders. Our staff members are educators, not salespeople; during your family's most difficult time, you’ll receive a clear articulation of our available services, not a sales pitch. We’ll help you select the best options for you and your loved ones. At Mount Hope, you trust us with your family, so we treat you like family. Our historic grounds were originally laid out in a park-like setting, with rolling hills and verdant meadows. The cemetery features beautiful old oaks and evergreens, which we strive to maintain to their fullest health and beauty. Visitors are always welcome and encouraged to visit the park. The park is open daily from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm.
