🎶 We’re so excited to introduce Avi as our new Worship Director here at Rosemont!

Avi has already been a blessing to our church family, and we’re excited to officially welcome him into this new role! Avi is a graduate of Princess Anne High School in Virginia Beach, has been raised in church and has led worship for local congregations since he was 16! Avi also has a big passion for youth ministry and outreach.

As our Worship Director, Avi will help lead and develop our worship ministry—leading us each Sunday, investing in our worship and sound teams, developing new leaders, and helping create a culture of worship that points our church family to Jesus.

More than simply leading songs, our desire is that our worship ministry helps us respond to who God is and what He has done as we pursue our mission of making disciples of Jesus who become a family together for the good of our community and beyond. We’re grateful to have Avi helping lead us in that!

Fun facts about Avi:
✨ On any given day, you can find him in downtown notfolk with a speaker, leading worship on the street.

🎵 He and his father have led worship live in front of 7 million people streaming into countries all around the world!

☕ Avi LOVES basketball !🏀

It should matter to our community whether we occupy space or not! We got to bless the whole staff at Crestwood Elementary today 🙌 We’re praying for all the staff and administrators to have an amazing school year. Lord, give them strength as they provide a strong foundation for the next generation!

We worshipped together, opened God’s Word, and wrapped up the morning with our First Steps Lunch—helping people discover how they can grow in their relationship with Jesus, connect with our church family, and use the gifts God has given them to serve. ❤️

There are moments in worship when the words fade, the distractions fall away, and all that matters is Jesus. ❤️

This Sunday, we shared one of those sweet moments together—pouring out our hearts, lifting our voices, and simply being present with Him.

No performance. No pretending. Just a church family worshiping Jesus together.

“Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us.” — Psalm 62:8

We’re grateful for what God is doing in our church family. 🙌

We don’t talk about greed enough in church.

We gather in small groups, Bible studies, and worship services to talk about prayer, morality, right belief, and right practice—and we should.

But Jesus also talked a lot about what we do with what we have.

Because all of us have a “precious.”

For some, it’s money. For others, it’s our time, hobbies, possessions, comfort, or control. The tighter we hold onto our “precious,” the more it can begin to hold onto us.

So how do we break the disease of greed?

We give it away.

Generosity isn’t just about funding ministry. It’s a spiritual practice that loosens the grip our possessions have on our hearts and teaches us to treasure the Kingdom of God above everything else.

“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” — Matthew 6:21
