Sometimes you can be surrounded by people and still feel like something is missing.

Maybe life got busy. Maybe you got tired. Maybe you were hurt. Maybe church simply stopped being part of your life.

Whatever the reason, you don’t have to have everything figured out before coming back to God.

Welcome Home Sunday is an invitation to reconnect with God and find a community of people to walk through life with.

You don’t need church clothes. You don’t need all the answers. You don’t need to fix yourself first.

Just come as you are.

Dry seasons can make you question everything.

Your prayers.
Your faith.
Your strength.
Even whether God is still with you.

But Psalm 84 reminds us that the valley is not always a sign that you are off course. Sometimes the valley is part of the journey.

The people in the passage did not avoid the Valley of Baca. They passed through it, and God met them there.

That changes how we see difficult seasons.

The goal is not always to escape as quickly as possible. Sometimes God wants to reveal His presence, strengthen your faith, and do something in you while you are still in the middle of it.

Don’t let the dryness convince you that God is absent.

Keep praying.
Keep worshiping.
Keep moving toward Him.

God can meet you in the valley and bring renewal in the very place that made you weary.

When did wanting God start feeling like a problem instead of a sign?

Sometimes what we call spiritual dryness is really a moment of spiritual honesty. It is the realization that something is missing, that our hearts have drifted, and that we are not where we once were.

When God asked Adam, “Where are you?” it was not because God had lost track of him. The question exposed Adam’s condition and forced him to recognize where he was.

Maybe that is the question God is using in your life right now:

Where are you?

Not to condemn you, but to awaken you.

If something in you knows you need to get back to the place where you once desired God deeply, don’t ignore that longing. Let it lead you home.

Do you remember when you first gave Jesus your life?

The hunger. The passion. The desire to pray, read His Word, and look for Him in everything.

Sometimes life gets busy, routines take over, and without realizing it, the fire that once burned so strongly begins to fade.

But if there is still an ache in your heart for more of God, don’t ignore it. Let it draw you back to Him.

Maybe the ache is an invitation.

It’s time to return.
It’s time to seek Him again.
It’s time to fall in love with Jesus again.

This Was Never Just About You

Getting closer to God was never supposed to stop with you.

Jesus said, “Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 5:16

You don’t need a microphone or thousands of followers to make a difference. Sometimes your light looks like kindness, integrity, forgiveness, generosity, or hope in a place where those things are hard to find.

So instead of only praying, “God, bless me,” try praying, “God, use me.”

Who is experiencing Jesus differently because you’re following Him?

If there’s something you need prayer for, leave it in the comments or send me a message. I’d love to pray with you.

Whatever You Do

Following Jesus isn’t just about what happens when you pray, read your Bible, or go to church.

Colossians 3:17 says, “Whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus.”

Whatever means everything.

Your work. Your relationships. Your decisions. Your conversations. How you respond when nobody is watching.

Getting closer to God isn’t just about adding more spiritual activities. It’s allowing Jesus to be Lord over every part of your life.

So take one word with you today: Whatever.

Can I honor Jesus in whatever I’m doing?

If there’s something you need prayer for, leave it in the comments or send me a message. I’d love to pray with you.
