First Congregational Church of Chelsea, UCC is delighted to announce that Rev. Rachel Ciupek-Reed has accepted the call to serve as our next pastor. We give thanks for this new beginning and for the journey that has brought us here.

What a beautiful day for a Baby Shower! We shared an excellent salad lunch after worship, watched some of the men of the church try to identify baby food flavors, and filled a playpen with items for the Michigan Foster Care Closet. We're going to fill diaper bags with much needed items for babies!

The soup and craft lunch was a success. We made 8 dog/cat blankets and lots of dog/cat toys to donate to the Humane Society of Huron Valley. There was also a collection for pet food, kitty litter and towels. Thank you to all who donated and joined us for lunch!

Our donation of socks to the Jackson Interfaith Shelter is incredibly impactful, as you can see, they were received with appreciation. Homeless shelters find that these are the most requested and least donated items they receive. Clean socks help prevent skin infections, blisters, and diseases associated with poor foot hygiene. At this time of year, fresh socks offer warmth, comfort, and a sense of normalcy in people's lives.
