I. THE MEETING AT MOUNT OF OLIVES (1:1–11)
A. The assurance from Jesus (1:1–8)
1. The confirmation (1:1–3)
a. The Author: Is Luke the physician who wrote the book of Luke and Acts (1:1)
b. The reason: To confirm the Resurrection of Jesus Christ! (1:2-3)
2. The command: To the disciples to remain in Jerusalem until they are baptized with the Holy Spirit (1:4–5)
3. The confusion: The apostles want to know if Jesus will establish his kingdom at this time (1:6)
4. The clarification: Jesus tells them that the Father will determine when that will occur (1:7)
5. The commission: They are to witness for Jesus in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the whole world! (1:8)

Resurrection Sunday
Introduction
Sunday Morning
1. An Angel Rolled away the stone from Jesus’s Tomb before sunrise.
2. Women who followed Jesus visited Jesus’s Tomb and discovered Him missing.
3. Mary Magdalene left to tell Peter and John
4. The other women, remaining at the tomb, saw two angels who told them about the Resurrection.
5. Peter and John visited the tomb
6. Mary Magdalene returned to the tomb and Jesus appeared to her alone in the garden. His First Appearance.
7. Jesus appeared to the other Women (Mary mother of James, Salome, and Joanna). His Second Appearance.
8. Those who guarded Jesus’s tomb reported to the religious rulers how the Angel rolled away the stone. They were then bribed.
9. Jesus appeared to Peter. His Third Appearance.
Sunday Afternoon
10. Jesus appeared to two men on the road to Emmaus. His Fourth Appearance.
Sunday Evening
11. The two disciples from Emmaus told others they saw Jesus.
12. Jesus appeared to 10 Apostles, without Thomas, in the upper room. His Fifth Appearance.

The Following Sunday
13. Jesus appeared to 11 Apostles including Thomas, and Thomas believed His Sixth Appearance.

14. Jesus appeared to seven Disciples by the Sea of Galilee and performed a miracle of the fish. His Seventh Appearance.
15. Jesus appeared to over 500, including the Eleven Apostles at a mountain in Galilee His Eighth Appearance.

17. At Jerusalem Jesus appeared again to His Disciples. His Tenth Appearance.
18. On the Mount of Olives Jesus ascended into Heaven while the Disciples watched. His Last Appearance until the Rapture of His Church and then His Second Coming to Establish the Millennial kingdom.
