In Ephesians 5, Paul calls believers to be imitators of God, not cheap imitations of the world. A true imitator of Christ becomes a carbon copy of His character, carrying the fragrance of grace, love, and sacrifice into everyday life. Instead of living for self, imitators walk in love and live with purpose.

But Paul also warns against imitation faith. Imitations may look the part on the outside, but their lives are shaped by sinful patterns, deception, and a lack of discernment. The difference is found in the walk. Are we walking in love, light, and truth, or are we being pulled into darkness while pretending everything is fine?

This message challenges us to examine what we are copying and who we are becoming.

Are you an imitator or an imitation?

This Sunday at New Covenant, we’ll look at Ephesians 5:1-10 and ask a simple but important question: are we becoming more like Christ, or just looking the part?

God calls us to walk in love, live in the light, and reflect His character in a world full of counterfeits.

Join us Sunday at 10:30a.

We speak truth.
We control our emotions.
We settle conflict.
We work honestly.
We serve generously.
And because we’ve been forgiven, we forgive.

If you missed the message or want to watch it again, you can find it anytime at ncf.church.

Join us next Sunday at 10:30a. ❤️

💙 Stories like this remind us why Celebrate Recovery matters.

Celebrate Recovery at New Covenant is a safe place to find hope, healing, and freedom from life’s hurts, habits, and hang-ups.

No matter where you’ve been, what you’ve carried, or how long you’ve felt stuck, you don’t have to walk alone. There is grace here. There is community here. There is hope here.

Watch this story and be encouraged. Then take the next step at ncf.church/cr.

Ephesians 4 reminds us that following Jesus is not only about what we believe, but how we live. A Christlike lifestyle is seen in honest words, controlled emotions, generous actions, and compassionate hearts. Because we have been forgiven, we are called to become forgiving people who speak grace, practice self-control, and love others like Christ.

Following Jesus isn’t just about what we believe; it’s about how we behave.

This Sunday, we’re looking at what a Christlike lifestyle really looks like from Ephesians 4.

A Christlike person speaks truth instead of deception, encouragement instead of criticism, and grace instead of gossip.

Join us at 10:30a as we learn how to practice honest conversation, holy control, and heavenly compassion. ❤️
